addedIt’s been a busy few weeks here at Valiant, with our devs hard at work adding new features to the game, and squashing some of the more troublesome bugs we’ve encountered in testing. This week we’ve been focused on improving stability in preparation for releasing the first batch of these new features out into the wild. The result is Gyrodisc Super League v0.2.7, which is now live on our Steam pre-release branch ready for testing. The biggest new addition is the release of our third playable character, the veteran Gyrodisc champion Ivar Vidarsson! Ivar is a giant of the game (in more ways than one), and his larger catch box and powerful throws make him a formidable opponent on court. Unfortunately he’s not as spry as he once was, so you’ll need to plan carefully if you don’t want to get caught out by those tricky overhead lobs. Other notable changes include a number of animation improvements (such as unique character specific idle and diving animations and an improved catch and throw sequence) a simple ‘Tutorial’ screen to explain some of the game’s core controls, and a new ‘Exact angle’ control option that aims to map your throwing angle more closely to the actual analogue stick direction (rather than the current ‘normalised’ system that spreads the possible angles across the whole stick range). Check out the full patch notes below for a more comprehensive list of the changes. As ever we look forward to hearing your feedback on the discussion forum, and please report any bugs you encounter in the relevant Report a Bug forum so we can get to them as quickly as possible.
