changedFor full patch notes, please see the bottom of this announcement!Hello everyone, Firstly, I just wanted to thank everyone who has picked up my game so far. I am incredibly happy to see people enjoying the game, and appreciate the support! Since the game's release a few days ago, I have gotten a lot of great feedback from the community. Some players have correctly identified some issuess with some game mechanics, which I hope to address here. It seems that some players were frustrated about the fact that weapons would be automatically picked up if the player touches them. This would result in unwanted weapons being picked up, and could lead to some very unfortunate situations (those of you who have accidentally picked up a new weapon after plunging into a horde of zombies with the Ripper know what I mean). To solve this, today I am releasing a new update for GUNS 'n GUTS which comes with the option to disable the automatic picking up, or switching, of weapons. You will now find an option called "Weapon Autoswitch" in the settings menu (which is toggled on by default). If toggled off, the player will no longer automatically pick up weapons off the ground. Instead, the player must manually pick up weapons by pressing Right Mouse Button when they are near a weapon. Keep in mind that ammo and other non-weapon items will still be picked up automatically even if this option is toggled off. Of course, if you still prefer to automatically pick up weapons, you can simply leave the Weapon Autoswitch option toggled on. Hopefully, this helps to resolve some troubles that some of you may have been having! - Eric
fixedFull Patch Notes:Additions: - Added "Weapon Autoswitch" option in the settings menu ("On" by default. If turned off, players need to manually pick up weapons using RMB) - Added text tool-tips in the settings menu when the mouse is hovering over toggle buttons - Added more information to the help menu to explain how to pick up weapons if Weapon Autoswitch is disabled Changes: - Rearranged the settings menu slightly - Made some text and toggle buttons smaller in the settings menu Bug Fixes: - Fixed the Ripper animation not animating in some cases - Fixed some Ripper sound effects not playing properly in some cases - Fixed the Assault Rifle burst not working in some cases - Minor code optimizations
