Gunfire Reborn changes
Season 7: Rune Secrets
Mystic runes form hallowed arrays, weaving extraordinary causes and effects. Mysterious Rune Stones infused with uncanny power have quietly emerged across the realm. By mastering the secrets of their formation, one can unlock their hidden potential and overcome any obstacle. To pursue this path, heroes have set off on new expeditions. Yet, treasures are often guarded by peril—monsters nurtured by these stones will be the greatest hurdles on your journey...
Rune Stone
Each Rune Stone has its unique effect, but it requires sufficient energy to be activated.
Runic Energy powers the Rune Stones. However, each energy source covers a different radiant zone, so strategic placement is key to maximizing their impact.
Rune Stone Merchant
A new face—the Rune Stone Merchant—will appear during your adventure. They offer various Rune Stones and Runic Energy to help you grow. You can explore their specific effects in-game.
Special Room Challenges
When entering new rooms, you will occasionally encounter special challenges. You must quickly defeat enemies empowered by special Rune Stones, so stay sharp!
Weapon Adjustments
In the upcoming update, we plan to add 2 new weapons and adjust the mechanism for 4 existing ones.
We previously introduced the changes for 2 of these weapons in Tavern Chat #014. And now we'll focus on the 2 new weapons and the remaining 2 adjustment plans.
New Weapon: Cloud Edge (Melee Weapon)
Cloud Edge carries the essence of wind and clouds. It suppresses enemies with high-speed cleaves to gain energy. Once fully charged, the Weapon Skill liberates the storm's power, wielding dual blades for a relentless, torrential assault.
New Weapon: Purgator (Automatic Rifle)
Purgator is quenched in the fires of the netherworld. It siphons and stores Soulfire while damaging enemies. Once fully accumulated, it fires a powerful projectile that unleashes the flame, shackling the target and its nearby monsters.
Goshawk
We've made key changes to Goshawk's charge mechanism. After the update, you can fire after a short base charge or choose to charge longer. Shots will grant increased CritX and larger arrow size based on the charge duration. You can now choose your charge time freely to suit different battles.
Brick
We noticed that the difficulty of picking up Starlight didn't quite match the effect of the Starlight Enhancement. While keeping the pickup mechanism, we have adjusted the drop speed and range of Starlight and buffed its enhanced state. Now, hitting enemies while in the Starlight enhanced state will deal area damage to surrounding enemies.
Hero Adjustments
Nona
While preserving Nona's unique traits and strengths, we have focused on adjusting the [Precision] Build Ascension and the Spiritual Blessings. We are adding several new mechanisms to improve the aiming experience for Weapon Builds and reduce the burden of manually using Mecha Drop.
Additionally, we plan to add gameplay mechanisms centered around [Mecha Drop], slightly boost the late-game strength of the [Hardwood Missile] Build, and enhance Iron Wing's autonomous combat capability. Some Spiritual Goblets in Spiritual Assault will also be adjusted.
We hope these changes bring you a more diverse and enjoyable experience.
Development Progress
According to the current schedule, the Season 7 update will be released in early February. The Season 7 Trailer is also coming soon, so please stay tuned.
