Repeated intro
Hello everyone,
What changed
- Gameplay
Thank you for the kind enthusiasm you've shared with me for this passion project. I want to be upfront about where things stand.
When I announced June 12 as the release date, I genuinely thought I had everything ready. On the technical side, the game is good to go. What I didn't anticipate was a legal requirement that came up during Valve's build review process — one that needs an attorney's involvement to resolve. That's not something I budgeted for, financially or time-wise.
I still fully intend to release GuitarSesh publicly. The legal hurdle is something I'm actively working through, and I'd rather take the time to handle it properly than rush it. In the meantime, I'm using this delay to polish the game and add features I had planned for post-launch — work the original timeline didn't leave room for. The release candidate keeps getting better while I sort the legal piece.
A note on access: until GuitarSesh launches publicly, I'm the only person with the software. The only exception is local in-person playtesting around Los Angeles / Orange County — if you're in the area and play guitar, I'd love to put together informal sessions. Aside from those sessions, no one will have the software before public release — including reviewers and press. Once GuitarSesh is out, I'm fully open to review and press coverage.
Stay tuned. The project is in active development.
