Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds changes
Update 0.7 has arrived at the shores of Respite Island! This is a monumental milestone for us as it represents the final major patch before our 1.0 full release which is officially slated for Q3 2026. This update is packed with the ancient magic of the elves, the shifting of time, and a glimpse into the bloody history of the island itself.
🌊 The Maelstrom and the Relic of Undine
Since the start of your journey, the Maelstrom has been a constant shadow over your path. This unnatural storm surrounds Respite Island, trapping ships and blocking the way to the Mystshade Isles where your quest with the Heroes Guild awaits. In Update 0.7, you can finally seek out the ancient relic that the goddess Undine whispered to you about from beyond the veil. This artifact is the key to eventually crossing the storm, though you will have to wait for the 1.0 launch to fully harness its power and reach the isles.
⏳ The Chronomancer and the Sandcastle
The mysterious Thevyre M.T. has already guided you to his Alchematory where you secured the Tempus. Now, the Magus Temporalis reveals the path toward where this tool must be used. It is a journey fraught with danger, but if you can reach the Sandcastle, you will finally understand how to use the Tempus Relic. This will allow you to harness a fragment of the Magus Temporalis’s power and begin playing with the fabric of time itself.
By utilizing the Tempus, you will travel back 150 years to a pivotal moment in history. Long before your adventure began, the elven kingdom of Respite faced a brutal invasion by the forces of House Mazan. Taken by surprise by martial prowess and mechanical engineering, the elves were pushed back toward their castle. You will find yourself in the middle of this ancient siege. While your primary goal is to retrieve your relic, you will face a choice: will you simply take what you came for or will you risk everything to help the elven queen and her people escape their fate?
🎮 Steam Deck Verified
We are incredibly proud to announce that Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds is now officially Steam Deck Verified! This means the game meets all of Valve’s requirements for a seamless experience on the handheld, including full controller integration and perfectly legible UI. You can now take your journey through Respite on the go with total confidence.
📸 Experimental Camera (Zoom out and in)
We’re introducing a new experimental camera option that allows you to zoom both further out and closer in than ever before.
Zooming out provides a broader tactical view of the battlefield, helping you better read positioning and plan your moves. Zooming in lets you examine the environment more closely.
To change your camera setting, navigate to the Graphics tab in the Settings menu; then use the mouse wheel (or dpad on controller/Steam Deck) to zoom in and out.
This new camera system is still in beta; please let us know what you think! We would greatly appreciate your feedback on which camera you prefer.
🌟 Deeper Roleplaying: Talents Expanded
Character progression expands significantly in Update 0.7. This patch introduces over 50 new talents, giving players far more ways to shape their companions and experiment with new builds. Talents provide powerful passive bonuses and unique effects that enhance combat roles, unlock new tactical options, and reward specialization.
Awarded every 5 levels, most talents have school attribute requirements, adding further depth to decision-making regarding point attribution on level up.
