Hi everyone! We just wanted to send out a huge thank you to all of you who’ve been playing the demo and reporting bugs. We’ve been working around the clock to squash as many issues as possible ahead of Steam Next Fest starting Monday, and we’ve just pushed out a small update addressing several bug fixes from the latest build. Many of these changes are the direct result of community feedback and reports, and they also include improvements to overall performance.
Your support, feedback, and time mean the world to us. Thank you for helping us make Guardians of the Wild Sky better, we truly appreciate it and can’t wait to keep sharing more with you all!

Bug Fixes & Improvements
Fixed various spyglass and weakness discovery-related bugs
Fixed an issue where multiple new item popups could overlap
Fixed an issue where affliction screen effects would persist after the effect ended
Fixed several issues with the incubator structure, improving Guardian hatching reliability
Fixed an issue where capture crystals would not spawn traps on water
Fixed an issue where players could get stuck in tables when standing up from chairs
Fixed an issue causing the fast travel portal to flicker at a distance
Fixed an issue where blush did not work on male characters
Fixed an issue where demolishing stone structures played wood destruction effects
Fixed an issue where wood and stone stairs had only 100 maximum health
Fixed an issue where crashing an airship into the cloud sea could result in a black screen Fixed an issue where player map markers could appear below the ground
Fixed an issue where rock golem sounds were too loud. Creature sounds have a slider and can be turned down as a whole
Fixed an issue where some rebound keybindings displayed as “?” instead of the correct key
Fixed an issue with direct fueling tasks that caused Guardians to fuel targets unreliably
Fixed an issue where placed structures would not end up exactly rotated as expected and had small precision errors leading to tiny angle differences over long stretches
Fixed several bugs related to placing the airship wheel
Fixed a bug where the airship wheel could be used to circumvent max airship size
Fixed some visual issues with the butcher block UI
Fixed an issue where creatures would not work while the player was away from the base
Fixed an issue where large mounts were unable to interact with objects because their collider was too large and the interaction range too small
Several crash fixes, memory and stability improvements
Removed an overly loud SFX from the Cultist’s harvesting animation
Gameplay Updates
Updated the interaction system to use an area around the player. It prioritizes where the player is looking, but is far more forgiving to player proximity
Added hot deposits. A global hot deposit button is available at the Campspire as well as individual hot deposit buttons on the storage screens. For those unfamiliar with the term “hot deposit”, it means that only the item types already in the storage would be transferred. If you have a storage box with wood in it and click the button, wood will be pulled from your inventory into the storage, but nothing else.
Updated one-handed weapons to allow movement while attacking

Increased maximum sailing speed:
Small sails: 8.0 m/s
Large sails: 14.0 m/s
Added the ability to craft directly from storage within the Campspire radius. Added a game setting to turn this feature off if
