Guardians of Hyelore changes
Hi everyone! Lots of exciting things have been happening over the past month! I just wanted to give yall a look into the awesome new content I've been adding to the game.
The Arena has expanded several-fold with many new enhancements. There is now a dedicated experience bar just for levelling up in the Arena as shown in the gold strip below. Players are now able to earn Arena experience as they fight off endless waves of enemies.
Earning half-bar and full-bar experience in the Arena will grant a player with treasures that they can collect in the new Treasure Hall menu. This means that two treasures are available to collect for every level that is gained!
The Arena is expanding with the addition of events. One such event, “Destroy the enemy banner” as seen below, pits you against the clock as you race to destroy a structure in the given time limit. If successful, you are rewarded with one of many perks as you continue your Arena onslaught.
The Treasure Hall offers various treasures and rewards, some of which are exclusive to it and cannot be found elsewhere in the game. Players can also test their luck with Wheel Spins and uncover greater rewards as they progress throughout the Arena. Here's a look at that are well as a few of the many rewards available in the Treasure Hall:
Wheel spins provide further unique rewards as well, such as new Arena weapons and experience boosts.
Gold talents are now available in the Treasure Hall through opening chests or other means. As with other talent tiers, getting a gold talent will replace a lower-tier talent of the same kind.
Lonely Lands (region 4) visuals and environment have been reworked. This area now contains smog, light rain particles and droplets that form on the ground.
Players now have an additional 4-slot stash where items can be placed as storage. Items can be stored, sold and swapped from stash but cannot exist in the Arena or stage battles.
The Bloom post-processing effect has been added to really give off a glowy and powerful aesthetic look to all the spells and many of the on-screen texts in the game. The effect can be toggled in Settings, under Graphics.
If you think all of this looks awesome, definitely make sure to wishlist Tower Rush here on Steam! You can also join our Discord to get more of a first look at things as I work on the game!
