GRUEL changes
It's been too long since the last update. Technically? That's a crime. Let’s break some rules!
This was supposed to be a small update. Just a little patch. A quick crime. But then we started adding things. Fixing things. Suddenly we were deep in seal rituals, animation tweaks, ammo math, and moral compromises.
What you’re getting now is a chunkier, nastier, more complete version of GRUEL. A more whole package, if you will.
Also, there are now more ways to spend your hard-earned (and questionably acquired) currency. We’re very proud of that.
Note: With all these changes, the scoreboards have been reset for version 1.1.0. Your old scores are now part of the historical record, or evidence, depending on who’s asking.

New Stuff
Added 3 new enemies. Suspicious characters. Highly questionable behavior.
Added 6 new seals. What do they do? Illegal things.
Added 10 new weapons. Too many? That’s none of your business.
Added the journal?
Added REDACTED location
New Damage Numbers setting.
Breaking a weapon now triggers a tiny hand animation. Because crime should have style.
Balance Adjustments
Heavy weapons now slow you down when carried. Seems fair. It's not.
Howitzer max ammo increased to 38 (was 20). It’s also heavy now. You’ve been warned.
Prismbow ammo increased to 14 (was 10). Load up.
Ghost of Greed now spawns with less gold. Greed isn't what it used to be.
Rage effect now lasts twice as long. We're not calming down.
Chilli sauce actually makes sure a cursed enemy spawns every level.
Tar sauce slowness now takes half a second instead of a quarter second.
Rocketlauncher now actually reloads. Revolutionary concept.
Brick now deals 30 damage (was 20). It’s just a brick. That hits very hard.
Cursed enemies now show up from Level 3 (was 6) with Chilli sauce. Early terror.
Skeletons shoot with 2 more animation frames now. Easier to dodge. Maybe.
Hotblood seal damage bonus lowered to +20% per level (was 40%). You guys were too powerful.
Waste seal now checks enemy value before dropping weapons. Amo drops less for example. That's life.
Biters now pause briefly before attacking. One-third of a second of mercy.
Added a sidekick limit of 2 on each room. Making it so only two types of sidekick enemies (Jellyfish, Ghoul, etc) can spawn in a single room. After clearing a room, pickups now suck themselves into your criminal pockets faster.
Fixes
Fixed Rattler stuttering when out of ammo. Rattle restored.
Knockback now scales smoothly with framerate. No more jank physics justice.
Dynamite is now framerate-independent. It’s always dynamite time.
Handheld turret can now be thrown mid-fire. Sounds dangerous. It is.
Turrets thrown into another plane now behave properly and don’t vanish. They know where they belong.
There's probably more but I forgot.
That’s it for now. We’ll be watching to see what kind of illegal nonsense you get up to with all this new stuff.
