We've already seen some very cool map creations from the community and we want to take the chance to celebrate the creativity of our player base with a community contest:

Recreate a historic Battle of Britain airfield using the Ground of Aces map editor and submit your creation for a chance to win prizes. The main prize: €250 (~ $292) prize money. And maybe your map can even be added to the game as an official map…

Which airfields are part of the Map Jam?

To guide the competition, we’ve curated a list of historically significant RAF airfields. Choose one of the following and bring it to life inside of Ground of Aces.

  • RAF Biggin Hill

  • RAF Duxford

  • RAF Fowlmere

  • RAF Northolt

  • RAF Tangmere

The real-life base should give you direction and inspiration to build a cool base. They don't need to be 1:1 scale (that would be impossible in most cases), and you have the freedom to adjust. It's also good to keep playability in mind, especially if you hope for the map to become an official map.

Where can you submit your map file?

Submit your map file on our Discord in the #map-jam-contest channel.
