GRIDBUSTERS changes
The response to Gridbusters so far has meant a lot to us. Thank you for the feedback, the bug reports, and the time you’ve spent digging through the cases. Watching people work through the tougher deductions, get stuck, break things, and then come back with sharper notes has been genuinely useful for us. This update is focused on smoothing out the story flow, tightening up puzzle presentation, and cleaning up some of the rougher edges we’ve seen come up repeatedly.
A lot of the recent work has gone into the parts of Gridbusters that sit between the puzzles themselves: retry flow, progression, UI clarity, clue wording, and how the campaign is presented. We’ve been doing a broad cleanup pass across the story content while also tightening some of the systems underneath it, especially around variant handling and progression state. The goal here is simple: when you fail, retry, zoom around, or move from case to case, the game should feel more predictable and much less fussy.
Features
Added better story variant rotation, so alternate versions of a case cycle more cleanly across retries.
Improved progression handling for active story sessions, so ongoing attempts are tracked more reliably.
Added zoom state syncing improvements so zoom controls stay in step with scroll and pan behavior.
Improved campaign and story presentation with cleaner panel/layout handling.
Changes
Cleaned up story and demo index data to make campaign flow more consistent.
Refined failure and completion messaging so results read more clearly.
Continued a broad pass on case content, clue wording, and affected-target setup across Season 1 story levels.
Reduced some of the noisier campaign metadata and layout setup in favor of a cleaner structure.
Bug Fixes
Fixed issues with story variant retries repeating awkwardly or losing the intended attempt flow.
Fixed active variant session state not clearing correctly after successful case completion.
Fixed zoom button states not updating correctly after zooming or panning.
Fixed panel overlap issues in comic-style layout containers.
Fixed a range of story-level data issues across gallery and investigation cases.
Fixed multiple clue wording and logic inconsistencies in recent Gridbusters story files.
If you’ve been playing through the story cases, please keep sending us the moments where the deduction flow feels great and the moments where it still feels off. Those notes have been directly shaping these updates, especially in the more complex Gridbusters levels.
If you’ve been enjoying Gridbusters, leaving a review or sharing your favorite case with us really helps. It gives us a better sense of what’s landing, and it helps more players figure out whether this is their kind of puzzle game.
Thanks for playing, and thanks for helping us keep sharpening the cases.
Till next time,
Sanchit
