Changelog
Added a crown for the guild that remains in first place on the leaderboard for 15 in-game days without losing the top spot.
Implemented the CrownShield service, allowing the crowned guild to apply it to a network, protecting it from exploits, DDoS attacks, social engineering, and traffic accidents involving the admin. The service can be purchased from the main Guilds panel in Chat.exe. Losing the crown automatically deactivates the service.
Added functionality to hide windows and show the desktop by pressing the new taskbar button or using the Control+D keyboard shortcut. Pressing it again restores the windows to their original positions.
Improved the Appearance design to display separate sections for color theme configuration instead of one long scrolling page.
Added Window Manager options to the General section of Appearance: Snapping, Window Placement, and Desktop Zones.
By default, Snapping is enabled only between windows, with options to enable it for the taskbar, top bar, and sides of the desktop.
Window Placement consists of two options: basic mode remembers the last position and size of an open program, while advanced mode remembers multiple windows of the same program.
Desktop Zones can be used to enable areas of the desktop so that windows dragged into them adopt the zone's predefined size. An icon can be enabled on the top bar to switch between layouts or temporarily disable Desktop Zones. Zones are edited directly on the desktop from the Edit Layout button.
Added program News.exe that can be downloaded from normal shops. The News app reports global events, including the founding and dissolution of guilds, member arrivals and departures, guild level changes and perk upgrades, the start and end of guild investments, changes in company control and share prices, employee hiring, firing, deaths and successful ddos attacks against listed companies, including any resulting ranking penalties.
Unified experience system for the player and guilds. The player retains 100% of the XP earned, and 15% of that amount goes to the guild. The money obtained from the mission stays in the player's account.
The member detail panel now shows what they have contributed to the guild in XP instead of money.
The cooldown of credential missions also does not grant experience. The mission is still counted as completed.
Fixed bug that could allow players to accept contracts above their level.
Fixed bug that could cause information not to update from the Leaderboard until Stocks was opened and the company was consulted, if there had been changes in the company's staff such as layoffs and hires.
Optimized the network system to avoid sending unused data and improve data compression management, along with various improvements to server memory and CPU management when processing network messages.
Various performance improvements to the communication system between Greyscript and the main server process.
Fixed bug where an IP search from Map.exe might not update the map, causing the newly scanned IP not to appear.
Fixed bug that could prevent the client from receiving an HDD failure notification during copy, move, or SCP upload operations.
Minor visual improvement in the Bank's transaction panel in Browser.exe
Added option to make donations from the Guilds bank panel.
The social engineering emails "Funny Game" and "Administrator Online" no longer receive positive responses if used from the email accounts of dead or fired NPCs.
Fixed bug that caused shops network administrators to check if any computer on the network had the website's download files, even if it was not the HTTP server, resulting in a false positive and forcing a restoration.
Fixed bug where chown and chgrp when used recursively, did not check permissions before applying changes to subfiles.
Fixed visual issues in EmployeesViewer.exe when displaying the extra information and the Fire Employee button if the player owns the company.
Fixed an issue in zero days missions that could allow the player to deduce the mission’s final network from a rumor information.
Re-implemented the server global seed system to prevent players from being able to deduce it from the client.
Fixed bug that occurred after hiring an admin, which could cause parts such as whois, traces, admin monitor, active root access and restoration to continue using the dead/fired admin.
Fixed an issue where replacing a company administrator could leave some systems still referencing the previous administrator, causing unexpected behaviors.
Fixed bug that caused automatic firings for being late to not open a vacancy. If the NPC was an admin, the company could end up with the admin fired but without an available Admin position.
Fixed bug that could cause duplicate vacancies to be created for the same NPC.
Fixed bug where, if the NPC hired as the administrator of a rented server died or fired, they could still be considered hired, potentially causing duplicate monthly charges.
