Good morning, dear friends –

We just released the update to version 217, which has a number of fixes in the texts and UI, and more important – a new feature that the community has requested.

PRIVATE SESSIONS

As of today, 4.000 players have access to Cards & Projects, out of whom 2.000 have launched the game at least once. And we can see that these players have issued 1.500 invitations to their Steam friends – so the demand for "playing with a friend" is quite high.

In the multiplayer section, you will now find a new button: "PRIVATE SESSION"

This is in addition to the regular "JOIN THE QUEUE" button which adds you to the multiplayer queue.

When you press the button for the private session, you get a brief explanation, and a request for code:

  • private sessions don't affect your rating

  • private sessions don't have a timer

Invent and enter the code, if you created the session for you and your friend. You will then see this window, with the code that you need to share with the intended opponent –

Inside the private session, there is no timer:

And in the multiplayer lobby, you can now see separately private and public sessions:

Both types for the moment are limited to 20 rounds/20 score victory conditions. Full flexibility awaits you later on, in the Early Access version.

OTHER ISSUES

Among a number of small fixes (we adjusted the price of "ransom" on two cards, from being able to pay 2 score to being able to pay 1 score to avoid confiscation/cancellation; and edited a number of tags), there's also one visual – now counterfeits are also colored on each side, red for opponent and green for player:

WHAT'S NEXT?

We now have 2 things in our focus: an update to Gremlins, Inc. (which will introduce 1 new card) and, before then, an update to Cards & Projects that will introduce the Underground Club of Radio Enthusiasts (don't ask... you will see for yourselves ;). To do the update, we need to finish the Club – so one part of our team is busy there, while another is testing the code for the new card in G1.

See you later, and if you spot any issues with how the private sessions work – please shout!

Thanks for all the feedback and encouragement so far.

We expect another 1.000 players to join the Playtest once we release the G1 update.
