GRAVELORD WINTER JAM 2025
A small, festive community mapping exercise for GRAVELORD. This is not a contest, just a fun opportunity to practice mapping, experiment with the editor, and share bite-sized levels with the community during the winter season.
HOW TO ENTER:
You can create your map using the Gravelord Level Editor directly in the game on Steam.
The game is in discount (-30%) during the Winter Sale!
If you do not own the game, you can still participate by using the Gravelord Playtest:
Go to GRAVELORD’s Steam page and click the “REQUEST ACCESS” button to join the Playtest and wait for access to be granted.
Watch our instructional videos on our YouTube channel, keep an eye out for a scheduled livestream for questions, and most importantly read the editor documentation available via File > Documentation inside the editor.
Create a level according to the rules below:
Create the map according to the theme and rules below!
Fill out the map Meta Info in the editor (Map > Meta Info)
Create a readme.txt file containing:
Map name
Author name
Short description (optional notes, enemies used, greetings, festive wishes, etc.)
Pack the two files (.map and readme.txt) into an archive named: winterjam2025_yourname.zip
Send the archive to: info@fatbot-games.com
THEME & RULES:
Three-Room Level:
Every entry must be a compact level consisting of three rooms.
Interpretation of what defines a “room” is up to you. Corridors, arenas, vertical spaces, or puzzle rooms all count, as long as the structure clearly reads as three distinct spaces.
MAXIMUM of 100 enemies - NO EXCEPTIONS! (I am looking at you Killmonster ;) ).
Holiday visuals are welcome, but optional.
RULES:
The map must be playable from start to finish.
Submission deadline: January 21st, 2026 (before 12:00 am EST)
All map content must be original and created by you.
Multiple submissions per author are allowed.
The level must consist of exactly 3 rooms.
MAXIMUM enemy count per level: 100 enemies.
Fatbot Games reserves the right to refuse inclusion of any map.
TIPS & SUGGESTIONS:
There is an example mapfile for the first story level of Gravelord available in the playtest version (user/maps/episode_01/e1m1/e1m1.map) and on Steam Workshop to learn from.
Try to use the “Spectral Shovel” pulling/grappling mechanic and the “Card Pickup” mechanic at least 1 time in the map - it’s a core mechanic of the game.
A shorter, but finished map is always better than an unfinished one ;)
