Grass Gnome Golf changes
Better golf, better game. Some are calling this the unofficial second release - I’m excited to share this huge update that changes the game as we know it: Version 1.1.0.
New, new, new!!!
You’ll notice some big differences compared to 1.0, and without spoiling too much, let’s just say the immersion got cranked up a bit.
I also went through and grinded down as many bugs as humanly possible, so the game should feel significantly more polished overall.
As a solo dev, these updates take a lot of time, but I’m really happy with how things are coming together. It finally feels like the game is starting to accelerate.
Right away, you should see major improvements in graphics and animations. I’m continuing to get better, and will continually adjust the experience.
Below you’ll find the full update notes and fixes:
Reworked Golf Cart Multiplayer system [Some minor bugs still]
Reworked Shading
Reworked Swinging
Reworked Angle Setup
Added first person motion
Added the ability to sprint
Added footstep SFX for all materials
Added strafe running animations
Added backflip to first-person (hold G + Spacebar)
Added 20 new nature ambient tracks
Added ball waypoint
Added new map Lavender Links
Added Cow Bucket Hat
Added particle effects
FIX: Angle setup stuttering
FIX: Purchased Club not in Inventory
FIX: Reloading Map no longer causes premature 'End' sequence
- FIXReworked Golf Carts for Multiplayer
FIX: Swinging as a client in a listen server feels more natural
FIX: Scorecard now accurately displays current map's PAR for each hole
FIX: Hats not loaded correctly for host/clients
Annnnd much more that I'm forgetting.
Cheers, happy golfing. - GUISEPPE
