Gone Digging demo update

We’ve just pushed a new Gone Digging demo update focused on gameplay balance, clarity, and overall polish. Here’s what’s new:

  • Decreased monster chase speed for fairer escapes

  • Monster logic now pauses properly when the player is respawning

Nights should feel intense but fair.

  • Added Mouse Sensitivity option

  • Added Invert X / Y Axis settings

More control, more comfort, play the way you prefer.

  • Made cave item distribution more balanced

Loot should now feel more consistent across runs while keeping exploration rewarding.

  • Bed interaction now displays sleep time

  • New cave layers now show required shovel/drill upgrade level

  • Current shovel level now displayed

  • Fixed multiple typos

  • Added more interactable items (mashrooms, beer)

Progression should now feel clearer and smoother.

After reaching the maximum depth of the demo cave, you’ll now see:

  • Depth reached

  • Gold collected

  • Items collected

  • Times killed by the monster

Now you can prove if you were strategic… or greedy.

  • mproved cave lighting

  • Slightly brighter nights for better visibility

Atmosphere preserved. Visibility improved.

Keep sending feedback it helps shape the full release.

And if you haven’t yet: ⛏️ Try surviving your first night. Challenge open on this channel
