addedFramework UpdatesFirst up, the framework additions - Our audio backend has been overhauled to now support FMOD. While current gameplay is unaffected, this will allow us to support a whole bunch of new, kick-ass audio effects in the future, and especially as we continue work on "Battle for the Metalverse!", our Story Mode.
addedEnemy UpdatesSkulls now have attack animations! They swoop up to take a bite at you.
addedAccessibility UpdatesAccessibility features added in this update include:
addedHeight AdjustAt PAX, some people had their kids try and play God of Riffs. While we do recommend limiting the game to players over the age of 13, this did make us realise our game wasn't optimized for shorter players. We've added a height adjustment option, so that seated, shorter, or younger players can now dial in a comfortable height for skull-smashing! Try setting it to max while standing up to play as a giant!

Accessibility Updates

Late last year, we showed the game off at PAX West, and gained a lot of feedback on how to move forward. one of the biggest requests for for some more accessibility features, and we're happy to provide them to help metalheads of all abilities rock out and smash some skulls!

Accessibility features added in this update include:

  • Vivid Mode

  • Height Adjust

Vivid Mode

This changes the colors of the enemies and your axes from Red, Blue and Yellow to Orange, Cyan, and White. This can be useful for players with most types of color blindness.

Height Adjust

At PAX, some people had their kids try and play God of Riffs. While we do recommend limiting the game to players over the age of 13, this did make us realise our game wasn't optimized for shorter players.
