Goblin Journal changes
Greetings, archivists and adventurers!
The first playable slice of Goblin Journal has just landed on Steam, letting you translate one complete journal (three procedural maps) and lead a scrappy squad of goblins through tactical turn-based battles — all while uncovering the mystery behind an ancient, rune-sealed box.
What’s inside the demo?
🗺️ 3 handcrafted levels built from our procedural map system (forest cliffs, river chapel, storm-torn pass).
⚔️ Mandatory intro battles on each map + plenty of random events in between.
🛡️ Four goblin classes — Commander, Shield, Pair, Dual — each with six swappable abilities.
👜 Starter backpack of consumables (buffs, tricks, map tools) — experiment away!
📜 Original narrative: translated journal pages, sketched illustrations, and the first hints about those glowing runes…
🎨 Hand-painted art, moody soundtrack, and just the right amount of dark-fantasy grit.
How to play
Download the demo on our Steam page.
Jump straight into Journal I and guide your goblins to the end of Level 3.
Share screenshots, bugs, or wild strategies in our Discord — we’re listening!
Why your feedback matters
This is an alpha-content demo; balance numbers, UI polish, and mechanics will continue to evolve. Every suggestion you drop in Steam discussions or Discord helps us sharpen the blades (and maybe lower the knights’ accuracy a tad).
What’s next?
Expanded journals, item synergy, and advanced enemy characters in the full version.
Release date? When the last rune clicks into place — wishlist to get the ping!
Play the demo, wishlist the game, and tell us what secrets you uncover. See you on the battlefield — and between the lines of the Goblin Journal.
