changedKart steering amounts are increased when driving at slow speeds
addedAdded support for native Steam Deck resolution 1280x800, and also 1920x1200 'cause YOLO
changedVarious SFX balances and updates
removedRace checkpoints (white and purple smoke columns) are no longer present
changedUI and SFX changes to highlight when only one heart remains in Death Races

  • Kart steering amounts are increased when driving at slow speeds

  • Start boost is applied by holding only acceleration, rather than both brake and acceleration

  • Added support for native Steam Deck resolution 1280x800, and also 1920x1200 'cause YOLO

  • Various SFX balances and updates

  • Race checkpoints (white and purple smoke columns) are no longer present

  • Various optimisations

  • UI and SFX changes to highlight when only one heart remains in Death Races

  • Shadows now appear directly underneath Squish-E-Boi obstacles

  • Info messages (that appear at the bottom of the screen) are displayed on screen for longer

  • Farm RaceDisabled the silver coin next to the starting grid until the 1st lap and added extra tyre walls
  • Improved directing the player in the tutorial mission

  • Added a message to direct player to find the paint shop after finding first collectable kart

  • Added a prompt after completing the demo to play Challenges

  • Improved "locked" and "trophy" icons

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed the main menu getting into a state where no buttons could be selected with a controller

  • Fixed the kart selection button from being pressed multiple times, which caused the selected Challenge to load multiple times

  • Fixed invincibility being stuck on permanently (for real this time, I think)

  • Fixed AI racers not apply correct start boost values

  • Fixed new laps not triggering on the Farm Race

  • Fixed the respawning positions on the "Chicken Run" collect event

  • Fixed being able to outrun the Squish-E-Boi item without using a speed boost

  • Fixed slowdown penalty being applied when hit by a laser while the shield was active

  • Fixed oil and egg appearing to float slightly above ground

  • Fixed the collision of donut obstacles so you can't pass under them

  • Fixed yacht in Main Town not having any collision

  • Fixed benches props not resetting position

  • Fixed duplicated SFX playing on the character selection screen
