GO! GO! Beetle Roller! changes
GO! GO! Beetle Roller! has reached 50 reviews on Steam, officially achieving the Very Positive rating! To celebrate, we're releasing a new illustration created by the game's concept artist and illustrator.
In addition, we'd like to take this time to review the game's legacy and what our team is working on now!
Thanking the Fans!
One of the best things about releasing Beetle Roller was seeing everyone's videos showcasing their experiences with the game. Here's a collection of our favorites, so give these small creators your support! Thank you to everyone who played the game and shared it around!
We also found that someone made a 100% completion GameFAQs guide?? In 2025?? That's super cool, you should check it out and even use it if you need help knocking out any remaining achievements!
Status Update
As mentioned before, there are unfortunately no further content updates planned for Beetle Roller. Our team has expressed interest in potentially returning to the world of Beetle Roller some day... just not anytime soon sadly, as we've moved on to other projects and personal duties.
That being said... here's what our team is up to nowadays!
COCOBOY
COCOBOY COCOBOY is being designed and co-developed by Adrian, the technical artist on Beetle Roller. You may have seen this little guy hiding among bags of trash in Beetle Roller's city.
Steam post image"I was always... there."
To mirror this, a collectible statue of Beetle Roller is unlocked in COCOBOY for players with an existing save file for GO! GO! Beetle Roller!
Admittedly, the gameplay and tone of this game is quite different from Beetle Roller – while Beetle Roller is all about over-the-top stylish action, COCOBOY is more about sipping hot "coco" on a rainy autumn evening and staying up all night to explore a mysterious retro platformer. If that sounds cool to you, leave a wishlist and follow the Steam page! COCOBOY Demo Disc is planned to release quite soon.
In addition, Beetle Roller's lead designer and composer Cereza64 is on board for the game's chiptune music!
Follow the Team
Beetle Roller's lead designer and composer Cereza64 is working on a Metroid Prime-inspired JRPG Dungeon Crawler, as well as a light gun arcade shooter.
You can find Cereza64 on Bluesky.
The game's concept artist and illustrator Chris (designer of Beetle Roller himself!) is a recent graduate, currently working as a short story illustrator. He's also working on another indie game currently under NDA, preparing for conventions, and on the grind honing his personal art skills.
You can follow Chris on Bluesky, YouTube, and TikTok.
The game's technical artist and 3D modeler Adrian is working on COCOBOY, as well as working on his skills in his last year of college.
You can follow Adrian on Bluesky and ArtStation.
The game's lead level designer and animator Patrick is working on developing his 3D art skills.
You can follow Patrick on ArtStation.
Thank you everyone for your support for GO! GO! Beetle Roller!
