Gloria Victis: Medieval MMORPG changes
Warriors,
A new chapter begins today.
Welcome to the Season of War!
With every new Glory Season comes a fresh opportunity to prove yourself on the battlefield, earn prestigious rewards, and fight alongside your nation in the ongoing conflict across the lands of Gloria Victis.
Whether you're returning for another campaign or joining us for the very first time, we wish you the best of luck throughout this new season.
---
What is a Glory Season?
Glory is a season-based ranking that rewards players for participating in Faction vs Faction vs Faction PvP. Each of these seasons lasts approximately two months and the top players from the rankings are rewarded with:
Top-ranked players receive unique titles. • Gold rewards distributed based on final standings.
Also, every Thursday, players receive Contribution Points (CP) based on their ranking, which can be spent on special items from the Glory Quartermasters.
Please note that your character progressions is never reset.
When a season ends, your character, equipment, levels, professions, guild progression, and everything you've earned remain exactly as they are.
Only the seasonal rankings are reset, allowing everyone to compete again on equal footing.

Server Merge Complete
During today's maintenance, servers within each region were merged into a single regional server.
This change allows us to bring more players together, resulting in: • Larger battles • Stronger player-driven economies • More active territories • More opportunities for PvP
The developers have implemented optimizations that allow us to support a significantly larger player population while maintaining server performance.
Should we need additional regional servers, we can deploy them whenever necessary.
What happened during the merge? • Open-world crafting workshops have been removed, and all stored resources have been transferred to the Auction House for retrieval. • Guild Islands and Guilds have been transferred to the destination server. • Workshops built on Guild Islands remain intact. • Your merged server is now considered your primary server for both your account and your guild.

The Ultimate Guild Challenge - State of War Return later this season
One of the most requested features in Gloria Victis is making its return later this season.
For veteran players, State of War is a familiar name that brings back memories of fierce guild rivalries and unforgettable battles. For those experiencing it for the first time, it will become the ultimate test of your guild's coordination, preparation, and teamwork.
Unlike nation-based conflicts, State of War places your guild at the center of the battlefield. Build your own castle, defend it against enemy sieges, or march on rival guilds to capture their bastion and prove your dominance.
Where the State of War take place
The State of War take place on the Guild Island that the guild owns; each Guild can acquire Guild Island by buying it within the guild interface in the dedicated Guild Island tab. Your Guild's besieging attempts happen on the Guild Island owned by your enemy, and the defence takes place on your own Island.
How to launch an attack
In the guild interface, you will find a button which will show you a list of guilds. On that list, you will see various and useful information about the other guilds, allowing you to choose the perfect opponent to face with your guild. Next to the guild information is a button, which lets you challenge chosen guild. Be aware that chosen guild can’t be changed and the defending side can't discard your challenge.
When the SoW begins • Upon declaring a State of War on someone, the battle will start the next day at the hour the challenged guild has in the settings.
How many SoW battles can a guild participate in • Every day, your Guild can challenge and be challenged once a day. Meaning guilds are limited to 1 Siege and 1 Defense.
Guild Isle Visiting • On the mentioned list is another button allowing you to enter the Guild Island of other guilds. Use this option to scout your opponent's castle layout.
How to enter the incoming State of War
5 minutes before the State of War, the members of the attacking and defending guilds can see a registration button that will appear in the Upcoming Event tab. Moreover, a similar button will appear in the guild panel, where players will see additional information, such as the number and a list of members participating in the war, remaining battle time, members' level and their rank.
Who can participate in my battle
In a State of War battle only players from your guild and your alliance can participate. Alliance members may join the SoW to help fill attacker or defender slots, but they may not exceed 20% of the total battle size limit.
5 minutes before the State of War begins, all the players who are on the defending guild island are forcefully teleported out of the island, and any other teleportation attempt is blocked. Only players who are registered to the battle are allowed to be on the Guild Island during the State of War period.
Once the State of War begins, every registered player is teleported to the instance and is automatically allocated to the party created by the system. The guild leader automatically becomes the party leader.
How long is State of War
State of War lasts a maximum of 30 minutes. This is the amount of time to conquer the enemy castle or defend yours to win the State of War. Winning grants a bonus modifier to the earned Technology Points.
The State of War ends when one of the following conditions is met:
The activity meter drops to zero
The time limit expires (30 minutes)
The attacking guild captures the flag
To make sure that the 30 minutes are enough, siege engines have increased damage to all defense structures. Fire damage is also increased.
Will the guild be able to disable sieges on their island?
Any guild will be able to opt out of participating in further State of War battles, but only when the guild doesn't have any scheduled State of War battles. Guilds that do so will be unable to be attacked or perform attacks.
Technology Point and Distribution
The main reward and incentive to challenge other guilds in the State of War is technology points, which are required for the development of Guild Technologies and their maintenance at high level. During the battle, you can plunder the Technology Lab and Technology scrolls. Besides plundering, guilds are rewarded with technology points, which are calculated based on the post-battle scoreboard result. All Technology Points earned by all participants are applied to the selected guild technologies.
Technology points gain scaling
When the battle takes place in a non-loot environment, all earned Technology Points are reduced by 50%.
Technology Point gains scale based on the level of the defending guild. The lower the defenders’ guild level, the fewer technology points the attackers receive.
Post-Battle Castle State
After the State of War, the defending guild does not lose ownership of the castle when the enemy wins by capturing the flag.
All destroyed structures are automatically rebuilt to their pre-battle state, with the following adjustments.
Fortifications (including the Bastion)
Upon rebuilding, fortifications downgrade by one upgrade level.
Fortifications cannot be downgraded below Palisade level. A destroyed palisade simply rebuilds to full HP.
After the State of War, if the level of building has not changed, HP should return to the value before SoW.
Economic Buildings
Each building stores its HP value from before the SoW. When destroyed, the building is rebuilt at the same upgrade level and the same HP state as before the SoW, minus 20% HP.
If a building had less than 20% HP before the SoW, then after the SoW, it is downgraded by one level and rebuilt at full HP at that lower tier.
Buildings at the lowest upgrade tier are never downgraded and never lose HP; when destroyed, they simply rebuild to full HP.
Why don’t you bring SoW back in its original form?
Gloria Victis in 2023 experienced changes in systems and mechanics that are impossible for us to undo, reimplement or change.
For this reason, returning to State of War in its original form wasn't a viable development path for us and wasn't considered a feasible solution from the outset. If we were to decide to do so, it would require reversing many fundamental changes introduced to the game since the original State of War was removed. In 2023, the previous team rapidly developed the game, adding many new and significant mechanics, activities, and systems, while also maintaining balance to existing game elements.

Continued Investigation Into Unfair Gameplay Behaviors
We know many of you continue to report suspected unfair gameplay behavior from other players.
We want to reassure everyone that these reports remain an active priority for our team. Investigations are ongoing, and we continue to collect evidence, review player reports, and take action whenever violations are confirmed.
While we cannot discuss individual investigations or disclose specific detection methods, maintaining a fair and competitive environment remains one of our highest priorities.
Thank you to everyone who continues to submit reports and help us protect the integrity of Gloria Victis.
