📢 Gloomy Juncture Early Trailer Debut - With Story, Original Score, and a Smoke Machine...
This past week, Gloomy Juncture was featured in two major events: the Six One Indie Steam Event and the OTK Games Expo. To mark the occasion, I finally released an Early Official Trailer, tighter, more awesome, and with an original score!
It dives deeper into the story, showcases fresh game content, and yes… features a (ridiculous?) live-action segment 👀
Let’s just say I found myself sneaking through my (public) garage late at night, wearing a trench coat and fedora, carrying cardboard boxes, a fake revolver, and a giant bamboo fence... all while leaving behind a suspicious smoke trail. It was glorious. Possibly illegal? No, trust me 😏. Suspicious? Absolutely. Worth it? Yes.
A Note on Censorship
The trailer also premiered at the OTK Games Expo, although a censored version was shown. That was a bit disappointing, since nudity and profanity in Gloomy Juncture aren’t gratuitous, they serve a purpose in the narrative. Still, I fully respect OTK’s guidelines and really appreciated their generous back-and-forth.
A Milestone in Creative Collaboration
This trailer also marks a major milestone: the first creative collaboration for Gloomy Juncture, featuring the incredible composer Rui Rodrigues. His score really made all the difference, as he was able to enter in my weird mind and somehow capture exactly what I was looking for. An amazingly talented guy!
