Gloomy Clues: The Broken Mirror changes
The development of Gloomy Clues: The Broken Mirror is now finished! We are currently in the testing and final polishing phase, ensuring every corner of Blackport works perfectly. Version 0.4.0, released today, is the first real look at the final experience you will find at launch.
Welcome to Southlight (Zone 1 of 4) Experience the final integration of Southlight, Blackport's decadent jazz district. You can now play this zone with the exact design, pacing, and cinematic atmosphere of the full game.
Visual and Readability Improvements
High-Clarity Fonts: We have redesigned the typography to make reading clues and dialogues much more comfortable, eliminating eye strain.
Atmospheric Shading: The shading system has been refined to add depth while maintaining the Noir essence, achieving a perfect balance between light and shadow.
Wilder’s Morality: The choice system is now functional; your decisions directly impact the protagonist's dialogues.
Version 0.4.0 Technical Notes
Full Localization: The demo is now playable in English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
- Pointer and ControlRedesigned cursor (new idle state) and critical improvements for controller support.
Notebook and Portraits: Visual refinements to the detective's notebook and character portraits.
Optimization: Ultra-fast loading times thanks to our custom native engine (GraalVM), perfect for Mac M1/M2/M3, Linux, and Windows.
Your support means everything: If you enjoy the atmosphere of Southlight, please add the game to your Wishlist. It is the best way to help us during this final testing phase.
