Lanista Command Function

During an arena battle, the player can press K to pause the fight and enter Lanista Command Mode. In this mode, the mouse becomes active and the player can select one of their own gladiators. The selected gladiator is visually highlighted, and a command menu appears.

Available commands:

GoTo The selected gladiator moves directly to the target point chosen by the player. While carrying out this order, the gladiator ignores normal AI behavior and does not act on his own.

GoTo and Defend The selected gladiator moves to the chosen target point and then holds that position. After reaching the position, he does not chase enemies anymore. He only attacks opponents who enter his weapon range.

Free Roam This cancels the current Lanista command. The selected gladiator returns to normal AI behavior and makes his own combat decisions again.

Lanista Command Mode allows the player to give tactical orders during combat without directly controlling the gladiator.

Digital Comic Book

The game now includes a digital comic book system connected to arena progression.

In the main menu, the comic cover is shown in the upper-right corner. When the player moves the mouse over it, the cover glows and enlarges, while staying fully inside the visible screen. Clicking the cover opens the digital comic book.

Inside the comic book, the player can see all comic pages and whether each page is unlocked or locked. At the start of the game, only the cover and page 1 are unlocked.

Comic pages are unlocked through arena progress:

  • Page 1 is available from the beginning.

  • When the player completes arena level 1 and unlocks arena level 2, comic page 2 becomes available.

  • When arena level 3 is unlocked, comic page 3 becomes available.

  • This continues so each comic page matches the player’s unlocked arena progression.

Before each arena fight starts, the game displays the comic page for that arena level. The player can press any key, gamepad button, or mouse button to close the comic page and begin the fight.

This makes the comic book part of the game progression and gives the player story content step by step as new arena levels are unlocked.
