Hello everyone,

Today, we would like to share a development update and an important change to Ghost Vanguard’s release window.

After internal discussion, we have decided to move the planned release window from Q4 2026 to Q2–Q3 2027.

This was not an easy decision. As development has progressed, it has become clear that the parts most important to Ghost Vanguard—melee combat feel, Relic and Spell combinations, enemy design, and build variety—need more time to reach the quality we want.

We do not want to rush out a version that is simply “finished enough.” We would rather use this time to make each weapon, build, and battle feel more complete and meaningful.

Recent Development Progress

We have recently completed the first implementation of the Greatsword.

It currently has three main playstyles:

  • A physical charge-focused path built around powerful strikes

  • A magic-focused path with stronger Spell interaction

  • A rhythm-based path that rewards consecutive precise inputs with maximum damage

With this, the basic implementation of all weapon types is now close to completion. Our next focus will be further combat tuning and improving the interaction between Relics, Spells, and builds.

We understand that this delay may be disappointing, and we sincerely appreciate everyone who has been following Ghost Vanguard. We will use this additional time to make the game more polished, more complete, and more worth the wait.

If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please feel free to leave a comment below, or contact me on X or Discord.

Thank you again for all your support.
