  • Balance
  • UI and audio
  • Gameplay
addedLater this year in September it was followed with an updated demo that introduced additional geopolitical interactions that increase the chance of winning an enemy region as well as 3 additional point types and ways to generate them.
addedAfter that I focused on two tracks - 1) working with a designer on revamping the game art and UI and 2) further developing new core mechanics of the game.
addedIt took more time to work with art and UI than I anticipated and this work is still ongoing and will take some more time. In parallel I have implemented the foundations for civilizations and ideologies and I continue to add more mechanics around this block. Moreover, civilizations will become one of the most important pillars in the game, since the game is inspired by the clash of civilizations theme.
addedSince the game is already in transition between the old UI and new UI it makes no sense to release new mechanics in this half baked visual look, so while the UI work continues I will be developing even more mechanics (such as diplomacy, ages & technology). So by the time UI part is done you should expect a bigger release which will bring demo to a new level of depth.
changedI really hope this will be doable sometime Q1-Q2 next year, so stay tuned!

This year in January I have released the first demo containing the core flow of the game with influence, puppet, annex and develop world regions while competing with your opponents for the world dominance.

Later this year in September it was followed with an updated demo that introduced additional geopolitical interactions that increase the chance of winning an enemy region as well as 3 additional point types and ways to generate them.

After that I focused on two tracks - 1) working with a designer on revamping the game art and UI and 2) further developing new core mechanics of the game.

Looking forward to next year and what it has to bring, Alex Fenek
