[Beta Branch] v1.1.0t1 Update

However, due to the numerous changes, I'm concerned about unknown bugs, so I've pushed the update to a beta branch first. If you're interested, you can try it out and see if the late-game lag has been alleviated. In addition, I've also taken the opportunity to fix or improve some minor details that were left over from when I was a beginner.

In addition, I've also taken the opportunity to fix or improve some minor details that were left over from when I was a beginner.

Update Log

  • Fixed some text errors.

  • Fixed an issue where the game would fail to run after save data corruption caused by unexpected shutdowns.

  • Removed some unnecessary text interaction effects.

  • Improved the stability of leaderboard-related tools.

  • Improved the text display and sound effects in the leaderboard interface.

  • Significantly optimized the performance of all bullet types.

  • Changed the action interval of all combat objects from physics frames to rendering frames to improve visual smoothness at high frame rates, optimize performance at low frame rates, and enhance player character control.

  • Improved the collision detection accuracy of the Orb Drone, Laser Drone, Swordmaster's Swords, and Prism's Laser to ensure no damge will be lost at any frame rate.

  • The "Frame Rate Display" setting now only shows the rendering frame rate and no longer displays the physics frame rate (as physics frames are no longer used).

  • Removed the "Physics Optimization" setting (as physics frames are no longer used).

  • Raised the trigger conditions for the "Bullet Optimization" setting (as the game can now handle more bullets on screen at once). You can adjust this in the settings menu if needed.

  • The Unity version used by the game has been upgraded from 2019 to 2022.

  • The game's scripting backend has been changed from Mono to IL2CPP, which will improve performance and stability.

How To Get Beta Branch

  1. Right-click on Geometry Arena in your Steam library.

  2. Click on "Properties".

  3. Click on "Betas" tab.

  4. Select "beta" from the drop-down box in the top right。

  5. UPDATE AND PLAY!

Notice

Please be aware that the beta branch may contain potential bugs, which could even result in save file corruption. Ensure you regularly back up your saves.

Here is the path of save file: %UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\011 Games\Geometry Arena
