Update 1.2 Preview - New Depths

Hi all! Update 1.2, Deeper, will be releasing in full on the 19th of April, just under two weeks away. It's also available on the experimental branch on Steam right now, if you want to help test it, or just can't wait.

It's also available on the experimental branch on Steam right now, if you want to help test it, or just can't wait. For accessing the experimental branch just go into the games steam settings to switch the active branch to experimental. addedI'll be releasing a couple of Steam news update 1.2 previews so you know what to expect for the update, like what I did with 1.1. Lets start off with the new depth levels.
addedExpanded 800m Depth LevelI have converted the existing 800m depth level into a fully mineable level, with the addition of new caves, scannables, collectables, and resources. This depth level has a frosty theme, with cold and frigid caves, supporting only the toughest of plant life. There are also signs of many other explorers and unfortunate victims.
addedNew 1000m Depth LevelThis is a special end game depth level, and you'll immediate see that when you first visit it. It's purpose is tied with the new ending that I have added, so I won't go into it too much for the sake of spoliers. Just this sneak preview of one of the caves...
addedNew ResourcesMore resources are to be found and mined! The primary being Aluminium and Chromium, with a new alloy recipe to make Chromium Steel. These new resources are used in end game machines and drill upgrades. I'll leave it for next weeks preview to talk about these new machines. The drill upgrade progression has been reworked to incorporate these new resources for the last upgrades.
