Major
Forest Treant!
New statue to find in the forest, what could it be?
Choose to spawn him when you want, if you think you're ready
Defeat him to win! Optionally choose to keep playing afterwards.
Added a map! Press 'M' to access.
Desert Camps added, find them in the desert!
Lots of new perks added!
Different Core types! Each one gives unique bonuses, see what kinds of builds are possible!
Major performance improvements for medium/large worlds
Steam Achievements added!
Minor
Boar pathfinding should be a little smarter
UI Popup for when you unlock a perk while in-game.
Structures now drop half of the resources it took to build them.
Points of Interest (POIs) now spawn within designated distances from the world-center
Renthite Tower Nerf (Range 7 >> 6, Damage 50 >> 38)
Towers now have a maximum level (10)
Bugfix
Joining the game late should now properly handle day/night cycle + boss healthbars
Various multiplayer bugfixes, notably loading into game should feel smoother + more consistent.
Bugfixes related to starting multiple runs in one game-session, should clean up past sessions properly. - Various other small fixes
That's it! Working on this game has taught me so much about Game Development, and I can't wait to bring everything I learned into my next project. As for what's next for GEODE, I honestly don't know. There's still a good amount of content I dream of adding, but we'll see if it happens. A sincere thank you to all of those who playtested the game and gave feedback throughout this process, the game wouldn't be where it is without you. There's a feedback button in the main menu that sends feedback directly to me, don't hesitate to use it!
