Appearance & Themes

  • A new Appearance panel (hotkey A) lives in the header on every theme. Switch themes, scale text size, and pick a custom font for each text role — Header, Subhead, Body, UI, Numbers, and Italic — with a live preview. Each role also has its own size slider.

  • The panel is a draggable, non-modal fancy window — move it where you like and keep it open while you play and switch tabs to compare looks across screens.

  • Two new themes — Parchment and CleanOS (both still being polished). The Dossier theme gains a "typed case-file" identity: stamped headers, typewriter section labels, printed-report body.

Floating Notepad

  • A draggable, resizable Notepad (hotkey N) for save-specific notes. It floats over the game without blocking it and remembers its position. The Growth Tasks panel can now float the same way.

Quartermaster's Orders

  • The Gear/Armory tab shows a summary card of every equipment slot your roster is missing (e.g. ⛑️ Helm ×3), each with a one-tap 🔨 Craft-to-fill jump straight to the right recipe. Gear-gap entries in your feed carry the same shortcut.

New Languages

  • Italian, Swedish, Finnish, Turkish and Norwegian are now selectable (~90% translated — menus, letters, and flavor). For fun: two novelty languages, Klingon and Elvish, cover a curated set of high-visibility text with English fallback.

NOTE: While the game is playable with these languages, I won't be marking them as fully translated on Steam just yet. Claude is pretty good, but I'm sure there's some nuance with each language that needs refining. So I'll be listening closely to feedback and I'll be updating translations a ton.

Auto-Trade: relative price triggers

  • Each auto-sell / auto-buy rule gains a mode dropdown: Gold (classic per-unit floor/ceiling), Now % (current price vs base), or Wk % (week-over-week change). Sell rules fire as price climbs to your threshold; buy rules fire as it drops — and buy thresholds can go negative, so "only buy when it's ≥5% below base" finally works.

  • The Treasurer has been moved from the Guild tab to the Markets tab.

──────────────────────── QUALITY OF LIFE ────────────────────────

  • Per-class roster composition when signing, extending, or browsing a recruit — how many of that class you have, how many are in a party, aging out, or on the trade block.

  • Weekly Summary now itemizes income from active (in-progress) faction contracts, not just completion bonuses.

  • War College mentor picker previews the two stats a mentor imparts (+1 to their two highest) before you commit.

  • Auto-refine "refine up to N" cap now appears in the Material Processing view; the misleading "/wk" label is gone — it's a stock ceiling, not a weekly rate.

  • Refreshed header icons — clean line-art glyphs, consistent order across all themes, and tooltips in a uniform "Name (Hotkey: X)" format.

  • New hotkeysAppearance (A), Notepad (N), Weekly Summary (W) — all listed in ad new keyboard-shortcuts tab in Settings.
  • Adventurer intel rows show the full intel text on hover, alongside the source staffer.

  • Guild Trading: the "You Offer" row gets a typed quantity box (matching the request side); quick decrement buttons (−100 / −1k / −5k / −10k) on both gold rows; and rival trading cards now show each guild's temperament (Pragmatic / Aggressive / Desperate / Cautious).

  • Staff kept outside your active roster — scouts, professionals, gatherers, astrologers, tacticians, and overseers/foremen — now age in service, so their "Years in Guild" climbs over time instead of being stuck at zero.

  • Overseers and foremen now build a skill-progression chart as they train.

  • Auto-training keeps running as long as it can still raise an in-scope stat, only stopping once everything is fully capped.

  • New Hotkeys tab in Settings lists every keyboard shortcut, grouped by area.

  • "Best Leader" button on the party panel auto-promotes your strongest captain (as your Commander sees it) in one click.

  • Per-stat filters — stack up to six value-or-potential-ceiling conditions to pinpoint adventurers — now on both the Roster advanced search and the Recruit Guild Block (scouted rivals must meet every condition; unscouted ones still pass through).

  • Auto-sell rules show a "Sells at ~Xg" estimate beside the market price, so a Price Floor you set actually triggers instead of being silently skipped.

  • Settings → Universe tab moved to the top of the list, with updated book and soundtrack cover art.

  • Crown Cup registration is now flexible: field any 5-adventurer lineup — double healers, all damage, even a tankless rush — the same freedom rival guilds have. The old forced 1 Tank / 1 Healer / 3 DPS lock is gone, and each slot shows the role of whoever you place in it.

  • Gear inventory rows show a slot icon beside the slot name, so Helm, Accessory 1 (ring), and Accessory 2 (beads) are easy to tell apart at a glance.

──────────────────────── BALANCE ────────────────────────

  • Quest gold rewards up ~23%; raid gold up ~14%.

  • Closed a trade-offer "shotgun" exploit — you can no longer back many simultaneous offers with the same offered adventurer or materials to fish for an independent acceptance roll on each.

  • High-caliber recruits now weigh your guild's renown when deciding to sign: a poor reputation makes stars reluctant, an established one reassures them. Prying a star into a low-renown guild via trade is harder too, and deeply loyal, homegrown, or family-legacy adventurers resist being traded away.

  • Rival material demand stays varied as a save ages — neutral materials occasionally dip into transient shortages instead of collapsing to each guild's fixed buy list.

  • With a scout on staff, your guild can occasionally turn up exclusive self-found quest leads that pay better than the open board. Rival guilds can't access these.

  • Trade-negotiation overhaul: if a rival declines, you can re-propose better terms the same week. The old global "a decline burns a weekly trade slot" penalty is replaced by a per-guild patience budget driven by trust — a rejection no longer taxes your whole turn, each guild only hears you out so many times a week, and friendlier guilds are more patient.

  • Surviving adventurers now need two weeks to recover after a Tower battle (up from one), win or lose — though Barracks rest-skips and Party Time Excellence still apply.

  • Rival guilds' Tower-floor renown now scales with the Renown Rate difficulty setting, the same as yours.

  • Top-tier gear is more rare now: Epic and Legendary drop rates roughly halved, and a long-standing weighting bug that handed out free Legendaries on a chunk of every roll is closed. To match the scarcity, high-rarity trade values are up — Rare higher, Epic substantially higher, Legendary more than doubled.

──────────────────────── LOCALIZATION & WRITING ────────────────────────

A note on writing: much of the game's text was machine-translated during my big i18n localization push. Since that's almost wrapped up, I've started rewriting much of the English text in-game to restore the original tone and voice, which will be a steady, multi-week effort, with a big chunk landing in this update.

  • A vast localization pass brought huge swaths of previously English-only text into your selected language across all locales: material, building, training, quest, profession, relationship, ambition, and world-event names; zodiac and personality descriptions; contract clauses; potential-tier and crafting labels; recruit dossier insights; live-feed and report headlines; staff quips, and more.

  • Faction names, astrologer star-sign readings, recipe-discovery notes, and various scout and narrative lines now localize properly and update the moment you switch languages.

  • Front Desk recruit sub-tab labels, and the "Tower is waking up" intro screen, now read in your language.

  • Corrected a large swath of Latin American Spanish that had drifted into a Spanish/Portuguese hybrid; cleaned up stray English and placeholder leaks across Japanese, Russian, and Thai; and refined Russian material names, staff role titles, and building names from native-speaker feedback.

  • Updated a large batch of Live Feed and Materials translations across all languages. Many older saved feed and report entries now display in your language too.

  • Faction correspondence now reads in the distinct voice of whoever sent it — across the Crown, Merchants, Temple, Military, Nobles, and the deep-faction event letters. Maren's weather-warm trade offers, Viktor Krenn's clipped three-sentence missives, Sister Wynn naming the wounded she remembers, Edric's weighty Crown mandates, and more.

  • High-tier quest-board descriptions have been reworked.

──────────────────────── BUG FIXES ────────────────────────

Trading & Rivals

  • Trade counter-offers no longer waste a weekly trade slot — a slot is spent only when goods change hands (propose → counter → accept = one slot; declining costs none). Countering also no longer wrongly tags a guild "Traded" or blocks you from re-trading them that week.

  • Rivals no longer pile duplicate poaching offers onto your single best adventurer week after week.

  • Injured rival adventurers now heal over time instead of being stuck "Injured" forever.

  • Rival registry panels show correct roles — multi-word classes like Crusader Paladin (Melee) and Stone Druid (Tank) are no longer mislabeled, and Bard reads as Healer.

  • Fixed rival guilds posting a huge one-week renown spike at the start of a new season — leftover quests and raids from the prior year no longer carry across the year boundary.

  • Fixed a crash when clicking "Add Materials" while trading for an adventurer, and another when opening certain factions (such as the Underworld).

Tower & Combat

  • Tower boss element profiles no longer list the same element as both a strength and a weakness, and weaknesses no longer fall into a repeating every-seven-floors pattern — each floor's boss has a genuinely distinct affinity spread.

  • The Known Boss Intel panel now reports a boss OVR that reflects your difficulty settings (it previously used a fixed curve that ignored the Floor 1/100 sliders).

  • New Game+ "Reborn" veterans now recover XP at the intended ~3× rate on every difficulty — the difficulty XP penalty had been stacking against the bonus, cutting it to as little as 1.2× on S-Tier. Normal difficulty is unchanged.

  • Fixed raids double-applying the Renown Rate slider, which was crushing raid renown rewards.

Gear & Crafting

  • Bows can now finally be crafted.

  • Starter gear now arrives "Worn" and repairable, matching its description, instead of showing as Pristine 20/20 and refusing all repairs. Existing starter gear is corrected automatically.

  • Gear worn by an adventurer who's deployed and out of contact can no longer be repaired from the armory — the button is disabled with a clear reason, matching how equipping already works (single repairs and Repair All).

UI, Themes & Stability

  • The Classic theme is the default again; Parchment and other themes remain opt-in in Settings, and saved theme choices are respected.

  • A building renovated down from Masterwork to a lower quality no longer shows the stale "Masterwork Construction" badge.

  • Sorting Staff applicants by ROLE in the Recruitment tab now orders them by the role you actually see — instructors were being scattered by their hidden specialization.

  • Fixed a hole in weekly report history — a saving error was quietly dropping recent weeks mid-ledger. Past reports are now preserved correctly, up to the full 52-week window.

  • Fixed a faction-letter crash caused by outbound letters and their responses missing their faction tag; existing saves are healed automatically.

  • Fixed a perpetual loading screen that left some players stuck on the title spinner and never reaching the game.
