Gamedec 5th Anniversary 🎉
Next month, Gamedec will celebrate its 5th Anniversary! Meanwhile, the game has gone through an amazing detective journey so far. It has now almost 1.100 reviews (positive) on Steam, was verified on Steam Deck, was launched on Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5, and got a Definitive Edition update one year after the release. Thank you for being part of that cyberpunk adventure!
We're planning a proper 5th Anniversary update for fans of the game. Can't tell you yet what it will contain, but can promise that the content will satisfy first-timers and hardcore fans of Gamedec and will make the characters' decisions and actions clearer to predict or suspect the outcome. But that's not all!
New playable characters 🔍
Additionally, we're planning to release 2 brand-new free playable characters. Have a look below and let us know in the comments which 2 of 4 you wish to see in the game. The 2 characters' skins with the most votes will be developed and implemented in the 5th Anniversary update.
Before you decide (you can rely on the outfit though, it's fine!), we would like to present four additional characters, each with a unique set of skills (allocated aspects) that influence the branching path during gameplay. Let us briefly introduce you to...
[A] Liora Serrano, Sensory-World Scenographer
Name: Liora Serrano Age: 30 Gender: Female Personality: Improviser
Liora designed sensory worlds in which every color, texture, and sound could trigger a carefully selected emotion. She left the industry after discovering that one of her creations was being used to manipulate players. As a gamedec, she notices hidden intentions where others see nothing more than spectacular decoration.
\ Noah Quist, High City Mediator
Name: Noah Quist Age: 28 Gender: Male Personality: Diplomat
A former High City mediator trained to recognize emotions, deception, and subtle coercion. Noah lost his license after refusing to “reconcile” a victim with the corporation responsible for their suffering. As a gamedec, he searches for solutions that allow everyone to walk away even if he must first dismantle a carefully maintained lie.
[C] Mara Wysocka, Memory Profiler
Name: Mara Wysocka Age: 41 Gender: Female Personality: Inquisitive
Mara spent years reconstructing memories for Warsaw City corporations, until she discovered that someone else’s mind could be the perfect crime scene. She resigned after a case in which the truth was legally erased. As a gamedec, she trusts evidence more than people, although she is beginning to question her own memories as well.
[D] Miro Saint-Clair, V-Celebrity Crisis Fixer
Name: Miro Saint-Clair Age: 26 Gender: Male Personality: Chameleon
Miro managed scandals for the most influential celebrities of the Virtualia. He can manufacture a convincing identity, destroy a reputation, or find the person hiding behind a hundred avatars. After one assignment condemned an innocent client to digital exile, Miro abandoned his powerful employers. He now uses his knowledge of deception to uncover the truth.
