The Abyss Has Awakened - Kraken of the Iron Islands Coast

The gate of lost memories opens once again. Beyond the first gate, an abyss that cannot be closed alone awaits.

────────────────────────────────────────

  1. Altar of Lost Memories - Gate of Lost Memories

Lords have already encountered the stories of proven heroes in the 'Altar of Memories.'

Memories written into history, told in songs, and believed by everyone. But not all memories are kept with such pride.

Some memories were erased for being too horrific; others were sealed away for being too dangerous; and still others became taboo to even utter. These are the stories submerged in the dark margins between the pages of official history.

We call these margins the 'Altar of Lost Memories.'

The Altar of Lost Memories is not a content that ends with a single boss. It is a collection of lost memories submerged across Westeros, which will be brought to the surface one by one. And that first memory is the foulest and maddest tale of the sea.

────────────────────────────────────────

  1. The Iron Islands and Kraken: Story of Crazy Strategy

The Iron Islands. A land of those who worship the Drowned God, thrive on plunder, and live by the creed, "We Do Not Sow." Under the banner of House Greyjoy, these seafarers have long whispered of something slumbering beneath the dark waters.

Whether in the tall tales of old captains or the grim shanties of marauders, the name was always the same.

Kraken

Off the lonely coast of the Iron Islands, tentacles bigger than a whale have risen above the surface. The coastal village is already turned to blood by broken ships, burning watchtowers, and washed-up corpses. The screams of the living are scattered into the salty wind.

Honestly, the plan to kill this monster is not sane. It is a reckless plan close to a suicide attack charging ships full of oil barrels directly into the island, and shooting everything possible with Ballistas.

“They say you have to be just as mad as the monster you're tryin' to kill.

At least until we realized the beast was thinking the same thing about us.”

────────────────────────────────────────

  1. Stage and Combat: On the Broken Deck, Cooperation is the Only Way to Live.

Altar of Lost Memories first dungeon ‘Kraken of the Iron Islands Coast’ is a multi-player cooperative raid.

The stage is a lonely coast of the Iron Islands and ships above the dark sloshing sea, with decks full of oil barrels. Giant tentacles whipping overhead, impacts shaking the whole deck, and a huge eye flashing below the water. It is a dangerous battlefield with no safe place at any moment

And this raid is built so that it cannot be cleared alone. To survive, what you need is not a strong weapon, but the perfect teamwork and coordination with your companions.

■ Giant Boss: Facing the Kraken Head-on

Tentacles filling the screen, wide-range patterns sweeping the deck, and powerful attacks rising from under the sea. Lords must read the attack timing, using evasion and guard carefully and precisely.

■ Exclusive Objects & Environmental Interactions

Ballistas and Braziers: If you fail to utilize the objects scattered throughout the stage, the boss's HP will barely budge.

■ Deep Boss Mechanics Requiring Strategy

Simply unleashing raw firepower is not enough. This is a boss battle with deep tactical layers, where you must read patterns, assign roles, and synchronize your actions at the decisive moment.

■ Cooperation-Driven Mechanisms

Role distribution, tactical positioning, strategy, and teamwork will determine victory or defeat.

────────────────────────────────────────

  1. Entry Requirements & Required Momentum

The Altar of Lost Memories does not open to everyone lightly. Lords will need sufficient preparation to face the Kraken of the Iron Islands Coast.

· Entry Path: Enter the Altar of Lost Memories via the Altar of Memories in Storm's End Castle.

· Main Progression: Complete the Stormlands Main Quest.

· World Level: [World Level 4]

· Required Momentum [120,000]

· Recommended Momentum [132,000]

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

· Participation: 4-Player

· Participation Cost: No RP consumed

· Participation Period: Rewards can be earned twice a week

────────────────────────────────────────

  1. New Equipment: Amulet

Lords who defeat the Kraken will receive a new power befitting their victory.

This update introduces Amulets, the fourth equipment category, joining the ranks of Weapons, Armor, and Jewelry. The very first of its kind is the 'Kraken Amulet,' crafted from materials dredged from the depths of the abyss.

GROWTH ROADMAP

  1. Gathering Materials - Obtain core materials as rewards for clearing the Altar of Lost Memories (Kraken).

  2. Crafting - Craft the Kraken Amulet in the Amulet Workshop using the Kraken Amulet Recipe.

  3. Polishing - Refine its stats and empower the amulet into a more powerful form.

[Requirement Material (Kraken Amulet Standard)]

Through the Altar of Lost Memories, you can acquire Kraken Tentacles and Amulet Designs. By combining these with the Silver Ore, Gold Ore, and Copper Coins gathered during your adventures, you can craft the Kraken Amulet in the Amulet Workshop.

Kraken Tentacles are divided into three tiers; they become rarer at higher tiers. Depending on the tier of tentacles and designs you gather, the final amulet crafted will vary.

※ Please check future update notes and the in-game interface for further details regarding the exact material composition and quantities.

A new Amulet tutorial is offered to Lords who encounter Amulets for the first time. You can naturally learn the system by following the workflow of the Amulet Workshop, crafting, and enhancement.

────────────────────────────────────────

Closing Remarks

“Gather your allies. Inspect your weapons, and prepare the ballistas.

The abyss has awakened once more and it is time for us to strike back.”

The Altar of Lost Memories has only opened its first gate. The memory submerged under the Iron Islands' sea is just the first. The next lost memory may be awaiting Lords deep underground, through the boiling flames.

We look forward to welcoming you into another abyss in our next story.
