I wanted to make the first development update for GambaSim and talk a bit about the direction the game is heading in.

Over the past weeks I’ve been focusing heavily on building the core progression and economy systems. What started as a gambling simulator is gradually evolving into something much larger, combining casino management, rival competition, reputation systems, and high-risk gambling into one connected progression loop.

One of the main ideas I’m currently experimenting with is separating cash and chips into two different economies:

  • Cash acts as long-term progression and casino wealth

  • Chips are used directly on the casino floor for gambling

The progression system is also planned around 9 different tiers, each increasing the scale, risk, atmosphere, and stakes as the player climbs toward the final tier: “Cloud 9”.

I’m also working on:

  • Rival casinos and reputation wars

  • Passive casino income and operating costs

  • Different viable playstyles (management-focused, gambling-focused, risky/shady approaches, etc.)

  • Chip progression and rotating chip denominations between tiers

  • Larger long-term casino expansion systems

It’s still early in development, but the foundation of the game is starting to come together.

Here's a sneak peek of what's to come
