Working on Gales of Nayeli has been a pleasure, and I want to make sure that it's been a treat for you, too! This is why I have assembled a Feedback Survey to gather your thoughts on characters, chapters and game mechanics. This survey is designed with no mandatory field, so feel free to share as little or as much as you feel comfortable.

I will still maintain Gales of Nayeli and provide bugfixes as necessary, but will slowly be moving on to future game projects, which will be informed a ton by your responses to this survey.

I am incredibly proud of the game we have managed to pull together, and I am looking forward to building something even better in the future with the benefit of all the lessons learned by releasing this project.

(This feels a bit weird to keep going after this, but we do have some patch notes to cover, so... here they are!!)

Fixes

  • Fixed issue where Bubbles could only be summoned once per map.

  • Fixed issue where Leap/Vault/Guiding Leap skills would sometimes use the wrong unit's movement type for tile extraction.

  • Fixed typo in the Guardian Ring and Steward Ring where the HP Recovery wasn't accurate.

  • Fixed issue where Gallant and Leila's 2nd Romantic Conversation would wrongly highlight the platonic stars upon its completion. This was a purely visual glitch that had no bearing on the support bonuses or the ability to unlock the paired ending, though.

  • Fixed issue where Reka's boss appearance in Chapter 28 displayed Ayka's portrait in some boss quotes.

  • Fixed issue where Keri, Flordeliza, Ikan, Ayka, Sawyer, Ciara and Millenia could get their stats increased in Rising Tide mode as enemies. This fix does mean that their stats will not increase, even in scenarios where they can no longer be recruited.

  • Fixed typo in the Fancy Paintbrush item's description.

  • Fixed issue where Captain Laetitia, Corsair Sophie, Mako and the playable squids could not access the shops on some maps.

  • Fixed issue where Blood Wolf Astrid had a skill that she should no longer have had access to.

  • Fixed issue where a Demonic Acolyte in Chapter 9 exclusive to Hopeless mode was lacking the weapon rank to use their weapon.

  • Fixed issue with Web Bound Scuttler Nashwa's Swarm Gatherer not triggering properly.

Improvements / Changes

  • Updated War Chant and Glitterdust's skill description to emphasize that this is an active skill that is AOE and not a passive on the wielder.

  • Updated Chapter 5 so that the Avatar no longer speaks to Alivar if they are holding the Watchman Rope and Power Band to fling him across the fence. They like their ellipses...

  • Hit+20 and the Scope Lens now have new icons.

  • Bounty Staves are now available at some shops starting around Chapter 19, allowing playable units with the Contract Killer passive to make better use of this skill.
