Part of this is to help give more identity to the UI itself, and part is to make room for some of the other features that unlock as your empire grows / technology advances.
addedUI UpdatesThere are also no screenshots currently for the tech tree or any of the other global improvement systems, which I'll get added once there's a more defined UI in the game. Thank you for your interest in the game along with all the great feedback and suggestions I've received as well. I'm pretty happy with how this game is shaping out, and will be able to open up the first playtest soon to collect more hands on feedback to try to make it the best I can.

Playtest Plans
I'm hoping to have the Playtest ready by Jan 16th, or around there. Still a few issues I'm working out with how the general gameplay goes, and the initial playtest will probably not represent a full slice of the final gameplay. But I do want to get some of you in to try it out, and collect some feedback to help drive some additional direction in the game.
The playtest will probably have a runtime of about half of what the final demo for the game would have, so maybe 1/4 of a full session and about 20 to 25 minutes (before considering multiple plays). Ideally I can shape it in a way to give a good picture of the plans, and intend on updating the playtest build frequently during the playtest period as feedback and suggestions come through. The first playtest will run for about a week, with a potential second wave before the demo release.
