Galactic Mining Corp - Patch #5

I have been working hard on Galactic Mining Corp and have been listening to the awesome feedback from the forums, discord and reviews (good and bad) and have made some changes and additions I hope you will enjoy!

Here is whats in this patch

• Added - 7 new completionist medals added with BIG STAT PRIZES. These can also be viewed in Office.

  1. All the Cores - Drill every core in the game

  2. Coretrium Complete - Complete the Coretrium

  3. All the Crew - Obtain and max level all crew

  4. Champion Explorer - Uncover all maps

  5. Upgrade all Items - ... all items upgraded

  6. Research Genius - Complete all research squares

  7. Material Master - Upgrade all tiles

• Added - New monster - Blockhead

• Added - Breaking a chest has a chance of releasing a TREASURE BONSON!!

• Added - MONSTER INFESTATION DETECTED! Some drill sites are now infested! (lots of monsters)

• Added - Some drill sites are now Swiss cheesed! (Lots of gaps)

• Added - Nano Drills now give XP for both tiles and Items they bring back

• Fixed - Auto drilling movement getting stuck on things

• Fixed - Correct number of rooms available now shown in Room Upgrade UI list.

• Fixed - Issue with some flavour text disappearing in galaxy map

• Fixed - Issue with option menu not displaying correctly

• Fixed - Typos and grammar errors

• Changed - Re balanced late game progress and reduced grind

• Changed - Reduced XP requirements of end game tile upgrades

• Changed - Decrease the difficulty of planet Apollo

• Changed - Tweaks to many drill location stats

• Changed - Nano drill cool-down reduced

• Changed - Nano drills have a better chance of finding rarer materials

• Changed - Monsters can spawn closer to each other and in more random ways

HOTFIXES/CHANGES SINCE PATCH ---------------------------------------

HOTFIX - A few people may have been able to get INFINITE DRILL POWER due to an exploit in this patch! This has now been addressed.

HOTFIX - An issue was identified where nano drills were causing items to level up incorrectly. This has now been fixed.

HOTFIX 28.07.21 - A few people caught a bug in which they could not get the final item upgrade achievement (with item upgrade numbers exceeding total in game). This has now been addressed. Pressing the "Sync" button in the achievements screen of the office should provide the missing achievement. This only affected a handful of people caught between the major patch release and the hot fix later that day and only those who used nano drills in this short period of time.

HOTFIX 30.07.21 - Monster infestations have been reduced slightly across all infested locations.

HOTFIX 06.08.21 - Monster infestations have been reduced again to a more manageable level. I very much appreciate the feedback I have received about these.

HOTFIX 06.08.21 - For those who caught the item level bug. I have added a fix as best I could to help your save file. If you go to the office/achievement screen and press the sync button it should now return your item levels to the correct max and it SHOULD pop the Item completion badge and perk. You will also be awarded a load of drill tokens as this issue would have meant you could not get them all. Please let me know if this helps you. Its very difficult to test this as the issue was such a small window of time and didn't affect many people. I wanted to fix this as I feel those who were affected deserve better and I made a mistake. This is quite a large update and I hope you find the changes and additions even more fun. I am so thankful for all the amazing support I have received for the game and I hope many of you will continue to enjoy the game long into the future.
