Here is everything included in the update:

ADDED

Storage Room ExpansionsSteam post image

Your backroom can now be expanded through four upgrade stages, giving you much more space to manage your growing inventory and business.

Movable Storage Shelves

Purchase additional storage shelves and arrange them however you like.

Build a backroom layout that works for your shop instead of working around a fixed setup.

Toolbelt and Radial Tool Wheel

Unlock the new Toolbelt to carry all your tools at once, including the bat and bamboo stick.

A new radial tool wheel lets you quickly switch between tools whenever you need them.

You can now hire maid promoters to advertise outside your shop!

Their promotions can help attract more attention and bring additional customers into your business.

Retroactive Steam Achievements

Eligible Steam achievements that were previously missed can now unlock retroactively based on your existing progress.

New Posters

More posters are now available to decorate and personalize your shop related to the new maids feature.

New Capsule Pack - Koi Garden

Bring a peaceful splash of colour to your collection with the brand-new Koi Garden capsule pack.

Collect, display, and sell a new selection of koi-inspired figures.

New Capsule Pack - European Wet Dream

Summer is here, and so is the most important invention in human history.

The brand-new European Wet Dream capsule pack features a collection of air conditioners inspired by the desperate search for relief during the hottest days of summer.

Collect them. Display them. Sell them.

Try not to fight over the remote.

SMARTER AND MORE EXPRESSIVE CUSTOMERS

Steam post imageCustomers now consider far more details when deciding how they feel about your shop.

Their happiness can be affected by:

  • Shop size

  • Decorations

  • Marketing

  • Product pricing

  • Collection variety

  • Capsule machine selection

  • Cats and Maneki-neko

  • Worker performance

  • Robot performance

Every improvement you make now has a greater impact on how customers perceive and react to your store.

Dynamic Facial Expressions

NPCs are now significantly more expressive, with dynamic facial animations that reflect their reactions and feelings.

And yes, we mean actual feelings.

Be good to them.

Improved Customer Performance

Customers located far away from the player have received additional performance optimizations, helping larger and busier shops run more smoothly.

PACING, PROGRESSION, AND XP CHANGES

The game has grown significantly since launch, and its original pacing no longer fully matched the amount of content, automation, and progression now available.

We have adjusted progression speed, experience gains, and parts of the in-game economy to better suit the current version of the game.

These changes are designed to:

  • Make early progression feel smoother

  • Reduce unnecessary waiting between meaningful upgrades

  • Better support the larger number of systems and unlocks

  • Make shop expansion feel more rewarding

  • Improve the transition from manual work into automation

  • Create a more natural progression curve across the full game

We will continue monitoring feedback and adjusting the balance as the game grows.

FIXES AND OPTIMIZATIONS

  • Improved performance for display tables

  • Fixed notification issues connected to the new UI flow

  • Fixed an error caused by picking up robots

  • Fixed an issue that could leave the player permanently stuck while using the Barcode Scanner

  • Adjusted NPC walkable surfaces

  • Workers can now retrieve boxes that have fallen or been placed on the road

  • Improved performance for customers located far away from the player

  • Additional stability improvements

  • Many smaller bugs fixed

  • Multiple existing features adjusted and polished based on player feedback

PHASE 1 IS COMPLETESteam post image

Phase 1 has been focused on building a stronger foundation for the game and expanding the core shop-management experience.

Across Phase 1, we introduced new ways to grow your shop, manage larger inventories, automate repetitive work, customize your business, and improve how customers, workers, and robots interact with the store.

Several important Phase 1 systems were already released through earlier updates, including and now new:

  • The Barcode Scanner

  • The Magic Money Magnet

  • Improved robot brain

  • Improved worker brain

  • Expanded shop progression

  • New rarity systems

  • Back room storage upgrades

  • NPC facial expressions

  • Smarter NPC brain

  • New capsule packs

  • New secrets and Easter eggs

  • Numerous balancing changes

  • Many bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements

  • Extensive tweaks to existing systems based on community feedback

Automation has been one of the central goals of Phase 1.

Your shop begins as a small business where almost everything must be handled manually. As you progress, new tools, workers, robots, upgrades, and automation systems gradually allow you to operate a larger and more efficient store.

The Barcode Scanner, Magic Money Magnet, smarter robots, smarter workers, expanded storage, and new management tools all contribute to that journey.

Phase 1 was not delivered as one single update.

It was built across many updates, with new features launching alongside continuous bug fixes, balancing changes, performance improvements, and adjustments based on how players actually experienced the game.

This update brings those efforts together and officially marks the completion of the first major stage of development.

WHAT COMES NEXT?

Completing Phase 1 means we can now begin moving toward the next stage of the roadmap and continue expanding Akihabara with even more content, systems, customization, and surprises.

We are also beginning to explore ways for the community to have a little more control over what can be added to Akihabara. (wink wink you guys have been asking for this alot)

More information on that will come when it is ready.

It is the beginning of the next chapter.

Thank you to everyone who has played the game, shared feedback, reported bugs, written reviews, created content, or simply followed our development.

Your feedback has helped shape every part of Phase 1.

See you in Akihabara! ✨
