Frostveil: The Last Winter changes
Survivors,
Steam Next Fest has officially begun, and we wanted to bring you our most significant update yet! We’ve been watching your playthroughs and reading every piece of feedback since the demo first dropped. As a two-man team, your support has been incredible.
To celebrate the festival, we are pushing a major update that massively expands the demo experience. The cold of 1920s Anatolia just got a lot longer.
Here is what’s new in the Next Fest Update:
🗓️ Extended Survival (40 Days) You asked for more time in the frost, and we delivered. The demo gameplay limit has been extended to a grueling 40 in-game days. Do you have the strategy and the willpower to keep your village alive for over a month?
⚖️ Resource Balancing With the extended timeline, we’ve completely overhauled the resource economy. Managing your coal, wood, and food over 40 days will require deeper planning and tougher decisions.
📜 Quest & Event Fixes We’ve squashed several bugs related to quests and narrative events, ensuring a much smoother story progression as you lead your people.
🎵 Audio Polish (Seamless Music) The blizzard never stops, and neither should the music. We fixed a technical bug that prevented the atmospheric background music from looping. Your audio experience is now completely seamless.
🎨 Visual Improvements We’ve added extra polish to our charcoal-and-ink visual style, refining the UI and environments to make the bleak reality of the winter feel even more immersive.
Dive back into the frost, test your limits in the new 40-day run, and let us know how many days your village survives!
If you enjoy the struggle, please remember to hit that Wishlist button. It is the single best way to support our project during Steam Next Fest.
Stay warm, Doruk & Erman Utku
