Repeated intro

Hello! It has been a long time since I gave any updates so i would like to just post a little about my current progress. A while ago, I completed the general design for the Overworld and am currently working on updating other components to allow players to progress on it and subsequentially beat the game by capturing the tower at the end. Below is a post of what the Overworld used to look like:

What changed

  • Gameplay
  • Balance
addedThis was static and how it looked in every new game. In comparison these are examples of the one I am currently working with:
changedwhich is now randomly generated at the start of every game with a few consistent parameters applied. Combat has also been updated and given a GUI that the player can see, though it is still in a rough state.
changedA lot of progress had to be made in other parts of the game as well to make the Overworld useful. The version I am working on has around 90 items and 45 buildings, up from around a dozen or so each in the live version. It also includes four separate tech trees
changedwhich are still not completely implemented. The above image shows a little of what the tech tree and building menu currently looks like, though they have been arranged to fit the screenshot.
changedThough I have made a lot of progress in these categories I do not think they are ready to be put in a live update. I am working on continuing to implement and balance these and other features but feel the game will be feature complete with the next update. I apologize for not meeting the time goal I had previously established but I will continue to work on the game to the best of my abilities.
