Two new recruits are joining our ranks: the Grenadier is a Defensive class and the Scientist is a Support class, each with their new perks, items, and Specialist weapon!

Grenadier

Alain Moulin used to be a prison guard in a maximum security facility. He once put down an uprising single handedly. Alain knows how to deal with large crowds, whether it’s prisoners or aliens makes no difference to him.

Scientist Divinus

With his inventions, he's trying to become the first Homo-Divinus. A human with godlike powers. Time is ticking for this old man as he is trying to find a way to harness the power from the energy crystals to attain immortality.

The Grenadier and Scientist are free for all players and available now, have fun!

Oh by the way, From Space works great on the Deck, face off the alien threat wherever you are! We also have a special Steam Deck boot video for you to customize your device. Check your installation folder, you will not regret it! 😉

To install it, follow the instructions below: [expand type="details"]

  1. Switch to Desktop Mode

  2. Open the file browser (Dolphin) and enable Show Hidden Files

  3. Navigate to the game's installation folder (this will be under Home>.steam>steamapps>common>From Space if the game is installed on the internal drive)

  4. Copy the Steam Deck video

  5. Navigate to Home>.steam>root>config, create a uioverrides folder and enter it

  6. Create a movies folder, enter it and paste the video here

  7. Make sure the file is named deck_startup.webm

  8. Return to the Steam Deck Gaming mode, and you'll be able to find the video in the Settings>Customization menu

  9. Select the video here, and enjoy on your next reboot!
