changedWhat is this game?So most of you are probably reading this thinking, what the heck is this game and why should I care about it? Well long story short, we love table top games and love to make digital games, chess just happened to be a good little project for us to work on while experimenting with some ideas. Instead of your standard chess game where you are locked in to moving only where pieces are meant to move, Free Chess allows you to move your pieces however you like. Knock down you opponents pieces, or even move their pieces for them! This will allow players to play chess like they would in person. We know this type of chess gameplay won't be for everyone, but that's why we are making it free! When it comes out, give it a go and if worst comes to worse, it wasn't your jam, but you gave it a whirl. With any luck, you will have a super fun time and see why we had to make it this way! fixedBug fixingWe've been doing a lot of testing, tweaking, rebuilding and retesting over the past month (I forgot to mention this game has had about 6 week development to date), this has allowed us to really break the game and find what works and what doesn't. Our beta testing has been within a relatively small select group, but even so, we managed to find some pretty interesting bugs. -Fixed pieces getting stuck in air when another player picks up a piece while you have one selected -Fixed Multiplayer lag on all pieces other then hosts. -Fixed Hands not picking up pieces or rotating based on players camera rotation -Fixed manually engaging server on/off mode. -Fixed Table flip not flipping -Fixed Level not loading -Fixed long list of issues that made the game unplayable. Steam post image
addedPolishAdded Menu beauty (Custom game auto plays while camera slowly orbits) -Added selecting pieces in menu which displays them on the show board. -Added selecting boards in menu which displays on the show board. -Added core game play features... Technically this isn't a bug report, considering this is the first announcement and before now there was no game. But we just wanted to make it clear that we are doing our best to deliver a finished product on launch and not something that is bug ridden and unplayable! We will however keep a close ear to the ground in case other find bugs we missed after launch and be sure to post here once we fix anything! Steam post image So all in all, things are looking very good and we are hoping to release very soon, so why not Wishlist us and give the game a go on launch! As always, Stay Awesome! -GrimmGitz
