FPV Labs - Drone Simulator changes
Hi everyone,
We just released one of the biggest updates for FPV Labs so far.
The main focus of this update is a complete overhaul of the physics and input systems. Physics simulation and controller inputs now run at a fixed rate of up to 240 Hz, making flight behavior significantly more consistent across different PCs, graphics settings, and frame rates.
This means:
More consistent flight behavior across different systems
Lower input and PID latency
More responsive controls
Flight physics now remain consistent regardless of FPS
Less floaty overall flight feel
Because of these backend changes, some presets may feel slightly different and could require small adjustments.
Physics & Flight Model
Added fixed 90–240 Hz physics simulation. Can be adjusted in the Video Settings.
Added fixed 240 Hz controller inputs
Improved lift model
Improved thrust curve for more realistic throttle feel and hover behavior
Improved crash behavior
Improved PID system with higher usable PID ranges
Added latency simulation option
Performance & Graphics
Added Nvidia Reflex support for supported GPUs
Improved performance statistics display
DLSS modes now show their internal resolution scale for more clarity
UI & Quality of Life
Minor UI tweaks
Tweaks to the level border system
Maps
Minor map fixes
Thank you again for all the feedback, bug reports, and testing. This update lays the foundation for future physics improvements and should make the simulator feel much more consistent for everyone.
Please let us know how the new physics feel and report any unusual behavior you encounter. 🚀
