What changed

0 fixes0 additions3 changes0 removals
  • UI and audio
  • Events
changedThe reactions told us a lot. Players were drawn in by the art and animations crafted by Aleksandra Wróbel, Aksinnia Semyanikhina and Martyna Sobala. They got hooked on the story written by Iga Ewa Smoleńska and Bogdan Graczyk. And more than a few people just sat there soaking in the sounds and music from Konrad Belina-Brzozowski and Patryk Scelina.
changedBut Foxy Dumplings is more than atmosphere - and the demo proved it. The gameplay loop designed by Magdalena Ponarad, the UI work from Piotr Kosmala, and the core mechanics built by Maciej Nabiałczyk and Grzegorz Wątroba kept players engaged well past what we expected from a short vertical slice.
changedWe'll be sharing more photos and videos from the event soon - stay tuned!

Digital Dragons 2026 has wrapped up and we've finally had a moment to breathe, sit down, and properly reflect on everything that happened.

We already shared our Dragon Indie Awards result - but the award is just one part of the story. Here's the full picture.

WE HAD A STAND. PEOPLE SHOWED UP. A LOT.

We set up in the Indie Game Zone and honestly - we weren't sure what to expect. What we got was way beyond anything we anticipated. Players stopped, sat down, and simply... stayed. Some spent half an hour with the demo. Some stayed for the full hour. At times there was a small queue waiting to get to the controller. Seeing that happen with a game still in production meant everything to us.

WHAT PEOPLE LOVED

The reactions told us a lot.

But Foxy Dumplings is more than atmosphere - and the demo proved it. The gameplay loop designed by Magdalena Ponarad, the UI work from Piotr Kosmala, and the core mechanics built by Maciej Nabiałczyk and Grzegorz Wątroba kept players engaged well past what we expected from a short vertical slice.

YOUR FEEDBACK MATTERS - AND WE HEARD ALL OF IT

Digital Dragons also gave us something invaluable: real, unfiltered reactions from players who had no idea what to expect. You found bugs, you told us what confused you, you told us what you loved. We are genuinely grateful for every single piece of feedback and we are already working through it.

2ND PLACE AT THE DRAGON INDIE AWARDS

As mentioned in our previous post - among 50 projects competing this year, Foxy Dumplings walked away with 2nd place in the Dragon Indie Awards. For a small indie team still deep in production, this kind of recognition is fuel. We believe we are onto something special here - and this only makes us want to push harder.

THANK YOU

A huge thank you to Erebor Capital for making our presence at Digital Dragons possible. Thank you to every developer, publisher, and player who stopped by for a chat, shared feedback, or just played the game with a smile on their face.

We'll be sharing more photos and videos from the event soon - stay tuned!

And if you haven't crossed paths with us yet - see you at Nordic Game! 🦊🥟

PS. Something we didn't mention yet - Grzegorz (our CEO), also picked up a personal award at the Digital Dragons Gala. Sixteen years in the industry, and he's still driven by the same thing he wanted as a five-year-old: making games, and helping others do the same. We couldn't be prouder. ❤️
