Four Lights changes
I am writing to share an important announcement regarding a change to our release schedule.
■ Executive Summary
Steam Build Review Issue:
We have been undergoing the Steam build review process since June 17th.
However, to verify content advisories and overall implementation scope,
Valve has requested that we submit a "fully completed final build" for evaluation.
Release Schedule Adjustment (August 21st):
Currently, I must continue mastering the CGs until the very last moment to achieve the absolute highest level of quality.
To perfectly counter the risk of any unexpected rejections
and completely eliminate the worst-case scenario of launching without a stable build, we have rescheduled the release date to August 21st.
Launching with August Update Content:
Since the schedule has been extended, we will officially launch the game with all the major update features originally planned for August already included.
■ Detailed Overview & Background
We initiated the Steam review process on June 17th.
The build submitted at that time had 100% of the subtitles and scenarios implemented,
but the voiceover for the final route and some of the late-game CGs were not fully integrated.
During this process, we resolved several technical rejection reasons. However,
Steam ultimately issued a standardized directive stating, "Complete the review with a fully finished build."
If I were to maintain my original schedule of finalizing all CG artwork by July 20th,
resubmission through the build required by Steam would only be possible after July 15th.
Forcing the original July 22nd release under these conditions poses a severe risk where the launch date arrives,
but users have no build available for download due to Steam's review latency.
Therefore, we have decided to adjust the release date to a highly secure target: August 21st.
■ Future Plans & Build Upgrades
While the timeline has shifted, we will not slow down our internal development schedule.
As previously promised, we will seamlessly complete the flawless final build by July 22nd.
Following this, starting July 15th, we plan to tightly manage the review process over the course of about a month,
anticipating two to three or more potential rounds of feedback and adjustment with Steam.
Since our launch has been deferred by a month, we will pre-install the following update specifications,
originally scheduled for August, directly into the official launch build:
Full unlock of the After Story
Complete overhaul and quality upgrade of all CGs for Worlds 1 through 3
Depending on Valve's unpredictable, automated review timelines,
we cannot entirely rule out the marginal possibility of this pushing into September.
However, we promise to share all updates transparently and in real-time.
Thank you always for your steadfast support.
Best regards,
Torriet
