addedForty Foes Demo Now Live!I still plan to add an in-game "instruction booklet" that lists out moves, but let's be honest—most players are just going to jump in and start pressing buttons! (That's what I have always done myself with beat 'em ups.)
changedForty Foes Demo Now Live!X button (System Key - KBM) is your basic attack.
changedForty Foes Demo Now Live!Tap a movement direction twice and then press attack to do an uppercut, which will send enemies flying straight up. If you hit them again while they are in the air after an uppercut, they will go flying.
changedForty Foes Demo Now Live!Hold attack to do a charged attack, which deals more damage.
changedForty Foes Demo Now Live!Y button (V - KBM) kicks. If you press forward and kick while in the air, you'll do a classic TMNT-style aerial kick.

If you want to know some moves, here is what we have:

  • X button (System Key - KBM) is your basic attack.

  • Tap a movement direction twice and then press attack to do an uppercut, which will send enemies flying straight up. If you hit them again while they are in the air after an uppercut, they will go flying.

  • Hold attack to do a charged attack, which deals more damage.

  • Y button (V - KBM) kicks. If you press forward and kick while in the air, you'll do a classic TMNT-style aerial kick.

  • Press away + kick while punching or swinging a weapon to quickly kick enemies that are behind you.

  • Press down + attack while in the air to do a ground pound, which will send enemies flying back.

  • Tap attack twice while dashing to do a dash attack and blast through a wall of enemies.

  • Hold block to block enemy attacks as long as you have DEF power.

  • RT (C on KBM) will guard. You can use guards to knock back enemy spells!

Multiplayer!

I have been testing a bit and have been able to get Steam Remote Play to work! So, if you have just one copy of the game running, you can go into character select and invite friends to join.

I have toned down some of the SFX to be less excessive based on player count. However, I have yet to attempt a 4-player game. If anyone does, feel free to post about it! My guess is I'll need to lower how often the heroes talk once there are that many players on screen.

Leaderboards:

You can unlock two achievements at the moment, and your clear time should post to Steam if you are logged in! You can view the top 10 level clear times right from the map screen.

Kick for Clankos:

If you go into options and turn "Kick for Clankos" on, it will allow you to kick your teammates to steal their Clankos! At the end of each stage, a winner is declared (think Zelda: Four Swords), determined by their total score—and Clankos definitely affect this total.

Anywho, I think that's the long and short of it. There is still lots in the works! I hope you'll all try it out, leave feedback, and wishlist + follow the game.

if you play/stream the game please post links in the community! I love to check out videos to see where I need to make adjustments, this one is extra tricky cause I am mostly testing the one player game, so seeing multiplayer in action is helpful

Thanks as always,

– Ash
