changedFirst of all, thank you to everyone who joined our playtest, shared feedback, reported bugs, or simply spent some time exploring the Forsaken Lands. Your feedback helped us improve the game, adjust the balance, fix issues, and make the demo much stronger.
addedThis demo includes a lot of new content compared to the playtest, including Act 2 of the first campaign, a new playable hero in Dreams Mode, meta progression, new cards, new enemies, balance changes, UI improvements, and co-op fixes.
addedAct 2 continues the journey of Medina, Viola, and Pierre after the events of the playtest version. New dangers await, new enemies stand in their way, and our heroes will soon find themselves in even more trouble than before.
addedRedwall Joins Dreams Mode Redwall, the leader of the next trio of heroes, is now available in Dreams Mode.
addedTry his cards, build new strategies around his abilities, and take him into the roguelite challenge.

The Forsaken Lands demo is now available as part of Steam Next Fest!

First of all, thank you to everyone who joined our playtest, shared feedback, reported bugs, or simply spent some time exploring the Forsaken Lands. Your feedback helped us improve the game, adjust the balance, fix issues, and make the demo much stronger.

This demo includes a lot of new content compared to the playtest, including Act 2 of the first campaign, a new playable hero in Dreams Mode, meta progression, new cards, new enemies, balance changes, UI improvements, and co-op fixes.

Here are the biggest additions:

Act 2 of the First Campaign The story continues!

Act 2 continues the journey of Medina, Viola, and Pierre after the events of the playtest version. New dangers await, new enemies stand in their way, and our heroes will soon find themselves in even more trouble than before.

Redwall Joins Dreams Mode Redwall, the leader of the next trio of heroes, is now available in Dreams Mode.

Try his cards, build new strategies around his abilities, and take him into the roguelite challenge.

Meta Progression We’ve added meta progression for heroes.

You can now unlock new character skins, cards, and talents as you play.

General Changes

  • Added difficulty selection for both Dreams Mode and Story Campaign.

  • Redesigned the information window in Dreams Mode to make it more convenient and easier to read.

  • Reworked the glossary so effect descriptions are displayed in a more compact and precise way.

  • Added target highlighting when playing cards.

  • Adjusted how several card effects work.

  • Reworked preview damage calculation. It now updates dynamically while cards are being played.

  • Added indicators for heroes and enemies who are expected to receive lethal damage.

  • All talents that can appear during a run can now be viewed in the Dreams Mode lobby.

  • Level-ups and in-run progression are now enabled in Dreams Mode.

  • In co-op Dreams Mode runs, all players must now press “Ready” before the party leader can start the run.

Heroes

  • Pierre received 8 new cards.

  • Medina received 9 new cards.

  • Viola received 9 new cards.

  • All heroes received minor balance adjustments, including updates to some character stats and card values.

Balance Changes

  • Rebalanced combat difficulty in Act 1 of the Story Campaign.

  • Rebalanced all fights in Dreams Mode.

  • Changed the final boss of Dreams Mode.

  • Made numerous balance adjustments to hero cards.

  • Changed enemy compositions for several Dreams Mode fights.

Sound and Music

  • Added many new sounds to indicate card plays and effect triggers.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed numerous localization issues.

  • Fixed several player synchronization issues in co-op.

  • Fixed some talents that were not working correctly.

  • Fixed the reward for skipping a card. It now correctly gives 50 coins.

  • The Fatyrs responsible for occasionally freezing the game have been punished. They promised they won’t do it again.
