Now it's possible to get very bad items, however this gives new players a better sense of progression. Crafted items always aim for 100% quality, for now.

We are proud to announce our first pass on FANDOM! Fandom is a global leaderboard, where your rank is determined by the number of "fans" you have. Fans are earned by playing matches. The better you perform, the more fans you get!

Have a large fandom has some major perks, such as higher quality loot, and substantially increased voxel earnings!

However, fans are fickle beasts. They come and go. If you ignore them, they will leave, but if you play consistently, they will flock to you, particularly on weekends!

Related to the feeling of glory, your auto-generated GIFs are now also automatically published onto Twitter via our Forging Glory bot, unless disabled in options! From there, we retweet the best ones from our official ZoopTEK account!

This update also comes with a heap of other changes:

Loot:

  • Added item quality, which represents how well balanced an item's positive modifiers compare to their negatives. Historically, all items were as close to 100% quality as possible. Now it's possible to get very bad items, however this gives new players a better sense of progression. Crafted items always aim for 100% quality, for now.

Scoring:

  • Respawn time becomes a factor if your team is way ahead of the enemy's, except in Duel. Maximum of 30 seconds. Stay alive to maximize your glory!

  • Increased glory on knocking enemies off the arena.

  • Increased glory for repelling pistol projectiles.

  • Increased glory for hitting someone with a repelled pistol projectile.

  • Increased glory for blocking a projectile without a shield.

  • Reduced cost of most unlocks by 50%. This means you can roughly unlock two unlocks per victory.

  • Losing team now earns even more glory the further they are behind. You guys are just too good at the game!

Aesthetics:

  • New item user interface!

  • Rebalanced brightness of avatars and environments. Focused on making the avatars and their weapons the brightest compared to everything else.

  • Reduced sword trail opacity.

  • Goals now have glowy boxes representing the official boundaries for flag delivery. Only visible when a player has the flag.

  • Added fancy reflections to most surfaces! Pretty! Thanks DigDog!

AI:

  • Non-bosses are now have obvious roles, such as "Stunner" and "Sniper." Their names now reflect these roles.

  • AI now use traits! Some intelligently!

  • When an AI tries to block an attack, they will sometimes retarget to the attacker.

  • Improved AI pathfinding some. Less jittering.

  • AI can now back up.

Ammunition:

  • It now costs energy to begin loading a projectile. That cost is displayed on projectile weapons.

  • No longer costs energy throughout the projectile loading. However, the bow will consume additional energy if it is held for a long time.

Fixes:

  • Match results are a lot quicker to load. (Known issuesome past matches incorrectly show win state. Don't worry, this can be fixed.)
  • Fixed bug with some platforms having no spawn points, which meant some maps could have no spawn points.

  • Spawn points and flags are now properly grounded.

  • Potentially fixed bug where you could double-spawn, making a ghost of yourself.

  • Reduced likelihood of failing to connect.

  • Potentially fixed bug for "moving for X second" traits.
