This update focuses on critical bug fixes, major performance enhancements, and a few quality-of-life upgrades to make your time in the forest more enjoyable.

changedNew Features & ImprovementsCamera Feel: The camera controls have been tuned to be more responsive, reducing the feeling of input latency for a snappier experience.
changedBug FixesJournal Entries Fixed: An issue that caused typed notes in the Field Journal to not save has been resolved. Your notes will now save correctly. The Escape key will also no longer discard a new journal entry.
changedBug FixesClimbing Boots Perk Fixed: A critical bug where the climbing boots perk would not apply its effect after loading a saved game has been fixed. Your unlocked perks will now be active immediately upon continuing your adventure.

The game's performance should now remain stable over time. Addressed a bug that caused a brief freeze or stutter when a new background music track started playing. New Features & Improvements

  • Jump is Back! By popular demand, the ability to jump has been re-enabled. Happy hopping!

  • Mushroom ShowcaseI'm currently working on a new in-game area where you'll be able to view your entire collection of discovered mushrooms. Here's a sneak peek! (I've blurred most of the mushrooms to avoid spoilers!)

Known Issues

I'm aware of the feedback regarding the map's invisible boundaries and the noticeable "pop-in" of distant objects. These are larger-scale visual and level design improvements that I plan to address in a future build.
