addedThis is another smaller update, which is focused on helping get recruiting kick started when starting a new year. Now that CPU teams are smarter about who they target, it can be tedious to scout a ton of players to find the right fits. To help this, I've added two features: a new 'recommended targets' dialog, and pre-scouting of recruits.
addedRecruiting recommended targets:I've added a new "Recommended targets" dialog, accessible at any time in the "targets" header card, which lists recruits your staff thinks may be worthwhile to pursue. This is effectively the same as doing 'auto-fill' targets and then looking at those, but now more easily accessible, without having to fill your board all at once. This list will update in Spring 1 with recommended HS/JUCO recruits, and again in Offseason Recruiting 1 with recommended transfers. Super helpful to get your board started!
addedPre-scouting recruits:Another addition is new 'pre-scouting' that your staff does for recruits. Your recommended targets come in with a 25% scout bonus, and local recruits also have a bonus, with up to 35% if they are right in your backyard. This lets you quickly have a pool of recruits to examine, with less clicking of the "scout" button. You can see a complete scouting breakdown of each player on their 'Scouting' tab.
addedPre-scouting recruits:I've also done some balance, reducing recruiting difficulty ever so slightly on normal, and balancing some of the new advanced game plan strategies (like "Receiver catch technique", "Tackling technique", "QB contain", etc). The latter should help those strategies be more generally useful for teams.
addedFeatures:Add 'recommended targets' dialog in recruiting - Add pre-scouting of local recruits & recommended targets
addedMinor improvements:Slightly reduce CPU recruiting difficulty on normal for initially targeting recruits - Increase starting ball security for WRs and QBs - Balance advanced game plan strategies; generally reduce large swings to make them less extreme and more useful - Add banner showing how many user team players were drafted during Pro Draft stage, with button to view - Change recruiting icon to phone - Update recruiting tutorial dialog
