Football Club Simulator - FCS #21 changes
And more important, all these updates have been achieved in collaboration with the players Community.

Changelog FCS 18 “Final Race Update”
Implemented suggestions from the Community 1. New players algorithm “The new players appearing after the current players retirement have a very low level, sometimes even below 40. These players should be as good as the real ones and get better year after year as it happens in reality”.

Further details: We have set up a new algorithm based on histograms: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histogram Each histogram represents the frequency of player’s levels depending on their field position on each of the leagues and divisions in Football Club Simulator - FCS 18. For example, these are the histograms of different positions:
By assigning the players the level based on these histograms, we know for sure that we maintain the level of the players and the leagues season after season. The algorithm takes into consideration the retiring player’s nationality as well so the amount of players for each country remains the same. Now it is time to implement this update and test it. We will be adjusting the algorithm with the help of your comments and feedback until it works to perfection. 2. Improvement in the waiting time between fixtures “Since FCS 17 the waiting time between screens have been reduced and it would be great if this tendency can be kept”.

Further details: The optimisation of the searching algorithms used by the IA-controlled teams, in special in the areas related to the new hirings, allows us to improve the game. When searching for a player with specific skills in the database, the average searching time will be directly proportional to the database size.
However, if the database is divided in different slots and a map is created in order to locate the right slot for each time fast enough, the searching time is drastically reduced. This is how the new FCS 18 database #FR18 with HashMap works. We have also compared FCS 17 and FCS 18 waiting times while using as a parameter the most common PC among Steam players (4 CPUs and speed from 3.3 Ghz to 3.69 Ghz as registered in the last survey of April 2018):

Since the beginning of the season, we have achieved a reduction of around 18% on waiting times. We are on a good path. Still, we will keep working on the reduction of waiting times for the new FCS 19. We’ll keep you updated! 3. More information between fixtures “Currently, transition screens between fixtures don’t give you any information (next match information, for example) so it makes you wonder if the game is loading or has crashed instead. It would be great to receive any information while you wait”.

Trophy, name and flag of the competition of the following match.

New database including the winter transfer window “It would be great to play with up-to-date squads: the new signings from the winter transfer window, the leagues with different transfer systems…”
Implemented.
Further details: We have updated the players database focusing on the following three goals: a) Include the winter window signings of each team and the new free players. b) Include the signings of teams in leagues like Brazil and China with open transfer windows. c) Make FCS database bigger by adding more teams and players. After this update, more than 30 teams and 700 players will be added. Here we have some examples of new teams from different continents: SC Heerenveen - Netherlands Vasco da Gama - Brazil Rangers FC - Scotland LA Galaxy - USA Millonarios FC - Colombia Osmanlispor FK - Turkey Dalian Yifang - China KS Legia Gdansk - Poland Real Garcilaso - Perú Defensor SC - Uruguay Cerro Porteño - Paraguay Delfín SC - Ecuador Monagas SC - Venezuela RC Recreativo - Spain 5. Player pictures available in Community’s MODS “It would be a great improvement if we could add pictures of players in the Community’s MODs. Would it be possible?

Further details: The new “Real MOD FCS 18 #FR18 PCFutbolmanía” is now available in SteamWorks and the first images are already included. The Community has started with the faces of the Liverpool and Real Madrid players in honor of the Champions final, but the number will increase rapidly from week to week. Here you have a small example of how the profiles can look: 6. Adjustments in the algorithm regarding the IA-controlled teams signings and the improvement of the squads.
