Foodslingers changes
The Endless Cooking Update is live — our biggest update since 1.0 launched in March. Endless Mode is officially out of beta with a complete overhaul. We're shipping the brand-new Ascension System for it to allow for some long term replayability. We got new perks, gameplay choices, tutorial books, and new ingredient models!
If you're new here — welcome. Endless mode is unlocked after playing a few levels.
♾️ What's new in endless:
Now start with 1 less perk in endless, more perks can be gained in endless itself
Recipes are decoupled from difficulty modifiers and are part of a new selection. Separate control over progression vs. challenge pick your recipes and your difficulty independently.
Grab bag food selection. Foods you haven't seen recently are now more likely to come up. More variety, fewer streaks of the same item.
Smarter order timing. Orders now use the recipe's base time plus 5 seconds per additional ingredient, so complex dishes give you fair time. There is also more time given based on how much there is in a wave.
All players vote on recipe and modifier choices. No more host decides everything the whole crew picks the run's path together.
🏔️ The Ascension System
Ascension is a new progression layer for endless mode, unlocking harder challenges and new modifiers as you climb. There are 5 ascensions and getting the new ascension requires playing 10 days in endless of your current highest ascension
Ascension 0: No modifiers
Ascension 1: Fewer total errors allowed; starts with a negative point modifier
Ascension 2: 10% fewer points overall; imperfect orders give 25% fewer points
Ascension 3: Customers give 5 seconds less time and are quicker to leave without ordering
Ascension 4: Modifiers cost 10% more; cutting and cooking take longer
Ascension 5: More orders and customers per wave; last orders are significantly harder
⚡ Ten new in-run gameplay choices
Training Camp — unlock new perks mid-run
Expanding Menu — adds new ingredients to an existing recipe, increasing its point value
Social Engineering — reduce chances of foods
Floorplan Hack — adds another table
Mobile Ordering — new customer ordering mechanic
Target Advertising — increased chances on foods
Kitchen Supplies — spawn new stations mid-run
Clean Tables Bonus — earn extra points when customers sit at freshly cleaned tables
Ungrateful Customers — orders below a score threshold yield no time bonus
Table Tablet — auto-take orders when customers arrive

Chicken Legs — new movement perk
Faster Cooking — reduce cooking station times
Good Attitude — customers give more order time
Ingredient boxes now have custom 3D meshes per ingredient! Instead of just floating around
🎨 UI & Lobby
New Endless Day progress bar showing current day advancement
Ascension counter and unlock animation when reaching a new ascension level
Lobby UI reworked for endless mode — new overview page, ascension button, dropdown selectors
New controls panel
New Level Thumbnails (clean up)
Lobby scene updated fidelity
🧂 General gameplay changes
Stacked plates can no longer have food pieces added on top of them
Plates/cups cannot be added to a plate that already has food pieces on it
Food on plates now stacks in a triangle pattern before stacking vertically
Tables are now colored on the bottom of the table to be more identifiable in lower angles
Yellow and green tables are now more visually distinct from each other
Foldable tables near a delivery spot give a small point bonus (+10% per table in range)
Order paper images now render more reliably for all clients
New achievements for ascensions
Menu and Tutorial Books overhaul
Recipe pages now have detailed illustrations to explain how to make foods instead of being just a list of ingredients. Zooming now will center the manuals!
Some tutorial books are also updated

Reduced frequency of autograbber tunneling bug
